You all may laugh at the story but Delač was a big bit prospect. His career is well and truly ruined.

@AnfieldHQ
BREAKING: Liverpool are hesitating on a £53 million deal to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon due to concerns over an underlying knee issue.

Via @MelissaReddy

So many different stories going around now. Just don't know which one to believe

Isn't Melissa Reddy very reliable?

So I have been led to believe. Then again she has also been saying it's a done deal and announcement expected tomorrow and so on. The tweet she put out was linked to an article from Joe web page. So who knows but yeah one of the better ones I think

Yeah she’s one their mouthpieces and was praising their recruitment team yesterday, the envy of Europe apparently. Should have probably waited until the deal was done.

His movement is miles better, he misses alot but he also creates most of his chances himself through his movement.
Yeah I bet he can create chances by his miles better movement when Valencia can't get his cross past the first defender, or when Lingard over hits a simple through ball. Saying he creates most of his chances thanks to his movement is a bit rich while playing with players like Neymar, Mbappe, Verrati, Di Maria, Draxler don't you think?

Why are we not in for this guy who is clearly available is beyond me. Look at him joining Spurs for 45m and in 2 years time they have the best or one of the best CB in the world while we have Toby Alderweireld needing to be replaced again after paying 50m just 2 years ago.

And likely with another manager to pick up the pieces too.

I don’t care if they sign him or not, but ‘ITK’ journalists possibly having to change their stance after all the high praise would be the best bit about this.

So you think Lukaku's movement is better than Cavani? Yes Cavani plays with better players but you have to be in the right place at the right time. I feel Lukaku is too static at times.

I hate blue tick wankers who made up stories, but god these non-blue tick wankers that claim to be an ITK on twitter are even more irritating. They're just trying to get attention and retweets by spreading their bullshits as facts. Narcissist liaarrrssss .

Having a blue tick means literally nothing.

Apparently not tall enough!

Both top players with different attributes. Cavani as you say his movement and work rate far outweigh Lukaku but Lukakus a better finisher and more dangerous coming in with the ball from wide (right especially).

True! :)

OK Cavani has better movement than Lukaku, Rom can work on that. But there are plenty of attributes in which Lukaku excels over Cavani. Physicality and finishing among others. I wouldn't trade Lukaku for Cavani in any case.

I wouldn't either tbh I was just saying that I really rated Cavanis movement. I hope Lukaku can improve that aspect of his game next season ❤

People said the same about Aurier.

We signed a young prospect for the last two seasons so you can't accuse us of not doing that.

It's just so easy to knock United but Spurs have bought a lot of duds over the last 3 years.

You are right, we signed prospects, one of whom is obviously not good enough, because we are looking for another CB instead of fixing other problems.

Bad planning all around, De Ligt is the one CB talent we should be bringing on, instead we will let him go to a rival and question the decision in a year time. And I don’t have a problem in bringing yet again a young prospect especially one like De Ligt, throughout we’ve had much more success with those transfers than with the ones where we buy “proven” players.

I like Alderweireld also, but paying anything more than 40m for him, is overpaying for a position we really don’t have to.

Speaking of Centre Backs, I really like how Lindelof has progressed over the season, especially after the very difficult start that he endured. I think that he will be an even better player next season, especially with a fixed partner in defence. I won't be surprised if Jose chooses not to go ahead with the Alderweireld move and give Lindelof more chances to improve, and maybe put the budget to pursue a better leftback option.

Funny how in this thread lindelof is being talked up and on the Dalot thread he is being completely slaughtered.

The truth is pribprob somewhere down the middle

Yup, just had a look, said this.

“Let me know if you need a trim, red or blue this time?”
It's to do with their mutual sponsor, Wish. Check Bale's insta, Pogba commented first asking for a shave (Bale's ad promo being that he's a barber)

Nothing to see here

Who is to say that De Ligt will be a sure thing either? Players from the Dutch league have been hit and miss over the last few years.

The reason we want a player like Toby instead of another prospect is because we need immediate leadership in our defense. Jose is expected to win now. Even Pep has had more success with proven defenders instead of prospects like Stones.

This is just the usual whining about other clubs signings. Just go have a look at Spurs signings over the last 3 years and see how many duds they are.

True. Nothing to say Lindelof cannot come on with a season in England behind him too.
