Isn't it a given that their entire club (along with City's) is shady?

They still cant splash 300m on 2 players in one window. They usually strengthen the squad in other departments too.

Dybala can realistically only end up at PSG or Real though.

Nothing to see here. Lyon want to delay it to get it onto next seasons accounts and I reckon this is just covering their arses so they can’t be accused of manipulating the books.

Barça are determined to sign the young French defender of Sevilla.
The arrival of Abidal does not change the plan and there may be agreement in a few days [md]

"Antoine Griezmann and Clement Lenglet will be at Barcelona next season: this was the guarantee given to Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde by sporting director Pep Segura at a recent dinner meeting, according to a report by Catalunya Radio."

What utter drivel.

Why’s that drivel? It’s exactly the reason that Monaco loaned Mbappe to PSG for a season rather than sold him officially last season. The transfer fee is amortised over 5 seasons and it’s better to actually spread it over the years than have one rich year followed by some fallow years as it allows for a better average net income and more freedom to spend it.

I reckon this medical business is nonsense, it’s a done deal and the delay is to give a genuine reason rather than be seen to be cooking the books.

Yeah ofc we were interested....

I can't believe the number of people who were actually convinced that there was any credence to the rumors linking us to him. And all the people who were hell bent on convincing the Caf that he would be a good signing.

Given what Mitten said in his article I wouldn’t find it completely unbelievable that we were feeding his agent crumbs to a deal as a third or fourth option in midfield if we weren’t signing Fred. Of course i’m also aware of the typical Benfica bullshit like Gaitan when getting interest at good prices for their players.

I read somewhere that Olympique Lyon is listed as a publicly traded entity and any information that affects their stock price cannot be shared prior to it's completion. That's why the delays. Not sure if this is a 100% truth.

I'd have thought the markets would price in the Fekir money into the club after the BBC report though. (if the move were to affect it at all)

Cavani should join the Prem. He'd tear it up. Which clubs is he linked to?

he's 31, i don't know if any team would consider gambling on that with the transfer fee and wages. I would welcome him as #2 striker and winger option to our club though, he would push Lukaku in the #1 role and the perfect plan B option. The guy works like a horse, Jose would love him.

If PSG needs to sell players to meet FFP, I like to see us put in a lowball offer.

I think he would bench Lukaku tbh, far better player.

I would think Cavani would move to Chelsea with Morata moving back to Juve? This would allow Dybala to move to PSG.

I disagree. Cavani is a fantastic player but no way is he FAR better than Lukaku. One area he is definitely not better than Lukaku in is finishing. Cavani is notorious for missing a fair share of easy chances.

His movement is miles better, he misses alot but he also creates most of his chances himself through his movement.

Both top players with different attributes. Cavani as you say his movement and work rate far outweigh Lukaku but Lukakus a better finisher and more dangerous coming in with the ball from wide (right especially).

Their financial year almost certainly won't run from the start of the transfer window, so there's no reason to delay it till the start so that it's included in the years records.

No, in France we have the DNCG. Clubs have to communicate their finances for the current season by March 15 and the following season by May 15 but the actual end of the current exercise is June 30.
