He's not going to the World Cup so thinking is there's probably plenty of time to go for him (if we are) and the priority right now is to deal with players going to the World Cup (Fred) and players that are potentially high in demand (Diogo Dalot).

Sort of regret the thread I made now.

There's no rush with Sandro. He's not going to the World Cup.

I'd imagine our energy is focused on Fred right now since he'll be jetting off in a few days. And Dalot since the deal already seems so close.

Sandro will be negotiated during the tournament when both United and Juve boards are at home twiddling their thumbs. Then Savic/Griezmann/Alderweireld/whoever will be negotiated in late July after they've come back from the World Cup and can sit down with Woody with a clear head.

The Brazil coach specifically said he wanted all his players' futures to be decided before they went to Russia. That's the reason why Fabinho/Fred are all but completed, and everybody else is still unsigned. It's a 'nationality thing', not a 'laziness from United thing'.

If we want Sandro, we'll start negotiating for him once Juve reach agreement with Darmian I believe. Plenty of time for both players to move in the opposite directions as they're not going to World Cup.

:D All clubs will have priority signings and for most, the priority will be to get those over the line that come under either category I mentioned. The only links for Sandro have been to either get a new contract or come here. If we're interested, both the agent and the player will know so there's not much to worry about. For all we know, we might be after someone else.

Fabinho isn't going to Russia :) I think he comes under the category of potentially high in demand. Last year, Monaco only allowed x amount of players to leave before they said "no more", so Liverpool made their move early.

Starting to think we have someone else in mind at left back. Perhaps someone half the price of Sandro.
Im starting to think this Porto lad will get his game time as cover for both FB positions.
Maybe Bailly as a RB.
We aren't linked with anybody at left back. We're going off of Castles word and that's it

Ah, thanks. I didn't realise that.

Though even with that being the case, I still don't think it undermines my point with regards to players going to the World Cup. Apart from the Brazilians, everyone who's en route to Russia is waiting for the tournament to end before signing with anyone.

Obviously, neither Fabinho nor Sandro come under that umbrella. However, the the reason their negotiations are happening at different times is because of different time constraints. In the case of Liverpool, it's because they have nothing better to do right now. In the case of United, it's because they first have to deal with Fred within a limited time frame.

With regards to both Dalot and Sandro, there's no great rush. I wouldn't be surprised if we've made greater progress on Dalot for purely random reasons.

Not sure whats more surprising - fact that wolves are willing to spend 40m on one player or they are doing it on Cancelo

Wolves aren't in Europe so it shouldn't matter?

I thought it was to do with all clubs in Europe. There’s definitely stuff out there that has limited clubs in lower leagues, so if it isn’t FFP, I assume it’s something else.

Have we bought a player represented by Mendes?
If we're talking recently, no one, but we did use Mendes to get players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, and Bébé. He's also David de Gea's agent, though I'm not sure if he was actually used to conduct his transfer to us from Atletico.

How are we not interested in Cancelo who is also portuguese a very good right back, and we go instead for a 19 years old kid?

Because Cancelo isn't that good, costs twice as much and Dalot is a big talent?

Fred, Dalot and maybe Lenglet huh? could this be Javier Ribalta at work?

Pavel Nedved seems to have found the fountain of youth it seems. He hasn't aged a day since he was playing.

Matthijs de Ligt looks like the real deal. Juve can give him the time to bed in as well seeing as they are so dominant in their own league.

Maybe that's because Pavel always looked like he was 50 years old to begin with :wenger:

Bullshit, Liverpool won't sell him at any price. He can have 50 Agreements with Real, they won't sell any of the front three

Cos that worked so well when Liverpool "would never sell" Countinho.

very naïve. any of liverpools elite players would jump to Madrid quicker than you think
