The thing with both of them is that no one can pay there wages really even Barca could not and there is absolutely no chance RM would sell to them for obvious reasons. The only club that could afford their obscene wages are United but that does not mean either will move.

Agreed. But: They would have to break the all time BL transfer sum record by some margin (Draxler to Wolfsburg for 43m €). Don't see Madrid wanting any less than 60m € for Kovacic at this point and without knowing too much about Schalke finances that seems well out of their league.
