In this market, Pjaca going for €40m + Sturaro and/or Madragora for €15m each (or Rugani for €30m) + €35-50m cash make the €105m Lotito wants, all spread over 4-5 years for accounting convenience. If Lotito gets your lump €80m sum, he must spend it in full this same year to avoid paying taxes on the capital gain. That is also the reason Juve had to buy Higuain out of Napoli for €90m with the same £89m they got for Pogba.

None of that is true. There would not be capital gains from the transfer of players

 Sorry, I was bored, there were no tweets of United getting 46 players for trillion ponuds.
Tomorrow's game, first time and the last time I don't want Lovren to score an own goal at Anfield.

The joke is on me. Should have known you weren't serious. Since, well, you not being serious most of the times was kind of a hint...:wenger:

You bite as well? I'm on roll.:DDon't want to be too serious or I'll go mad, specially in transfer thread, or match day thread, or players thread..oh..well, whole forum. Real Life is different.
Anyway looking forward to a game tomorrow.

Coutinho only began to look the business in the last weeks of the season after being quite subdued early on. I think the player has worked hard to adapt his game. Dembele still looks a poor fit.

I'm not sure what this argument is about. If he was giving the club what they wanted, they wouldn't want rid of him, would they? When I've watched their matches Dembele has provided one part brilliance to two parts dross. That's the wrong mixture for Barcelona. Even Suarez, a top goalscorer, gives one for one.
Yeah - the reality is he just hasn't been very good so they might be happy to get back most of their 100m or whatever they paid if they can upgrade to the greaseman

Sounds like utter Bollox but if true we should bite their hand off. Exactly what we need.

Not now we shouldnt, injuries, lack of matches, confidence and age, doesnt look anything like the player he was when we were originally linked before he went to PSG. Shame as at the time when we were weak in midfield, I think he would have been perfect, a definite starter and probably a star for us. If the links from us were true, he definately made the wrong move, would have been a star for us I think

Oddly it happens all the time in Italy. It really doesn’t make any sense.
Maybe cause Lazio is not Juventus rival, never was and never will be. Also behind the scenes Italian club owners all know each other and doing business including shady stuff and on top of pyramid of power is Agnelli family who owns Juventus

Very few buyers given his age, performances and wage. He’s been a poor buy in my opinion I expected so much more from a record signing. He’s a lovely guy on Twitter and I think this gets him off very lightly as his performances this season have been way short in fact pretty piss poor.

You are absolutely right. Once Pogba got injured, we lost the title race. I wish Mata had stepped up big time. He didn't.

I guess the I will decide my future after the world cup stance comment didn't give him enough media traction so now I will decide before the world cup . If this is doesn't work either then be prepared for I will decide my future after my next toilet break .

Maybe he’ll decide his future before the World Cup and then announce it in July like he said a few days ago...:wenger:

But still we both agree what he can do despite the concerns. For that price worth the punt. Take him over Fellaini and Herrera

you do not know what you are talking about, are you?

Well I do. Football players are intangible assets. When they are sold the profit adds to the trading profit of the rest of the club. In most cases football clubs are set up as a company so they will just pay corporation tax on that profit and not CGT.

ok then, let’s just agree it is the english equivalent for “plusvalenza” and come now to the ways you can spred that profit over more years in the club’s balance sheet instead of paying the due tax on the profit from the lump sum you get once... context is king as usual and accounting works the same everywhere in the EU

Thought I saw a tweet from RMC via Bouhafsi that said that a few days ago?

Or do you mean it was just a story and not Griezmann’s words?
The video clip attached to the tweet was misleading. Video was from March, the actual tweet was Bouhafsi saying Griezmann would be deciding his future.

:nono::nono:

Anyway, Lazio had 'no problems' selling their best ever player to Juve.

Excited about the potential people say this kid has. Less excited about Mourinho's development of young players and patience.

To be fair I would take Grealish over Fellaini. Personally think the ship has sailed with Pastore, he was brilliant at Palermo but what is it 5/6 years he must have been at PSG, should have been best period of his career and trophy wise maybe, but he just hasnt done very much at all for them sadly. Really thought he would go on to be one of the worlds best players. I do agree he is more than worth a punt....but for the likes of clubs the size of West Ham rather than ourselves.

Good thing we've just promoted our u18s manager to coaching set up then! He'll work wonders with our younger players I'm sure.
Exactly this.
Excited with McKenna and Carrick in the coaching roles alongside Mourinho. Would be interesting to see how this combination works, specially with the brand of football played by the McKenna's U18.
Players like Dalot sounds like those exciting Fergie signings, when we used to develop superstars out of young potentials.
