Makes sense for Falcao to go there. A big name for the Chinese league. With the injury(s) he's had he can pretty much go there with a cigar on and retire at 32-33.

I've watched his last few games. Including his so called testimonial.

He's not fit. Far from it.

We need to sign a proper CDM
We just sold Schneiderlin, doesn't make any sense to buy one that isn't any better. I'd buy a real upgrade (Verratti), or just leave it, and use Basti, Blind and TFM as backup. We bought too many of those "määh" players the last years, look where it got us.

I see Patrick Bamford is off to Boro on a permanent deal. Saw him a few times when he was on loan there and thought he looked immense. I take it he hasn't progressed much since.

He's quite clearly not good enough for the Prem.

Doesn't have the physical attributes nor the intelligence. Good Championship striker though.

I see the powers in China have changed the rules, making it harder for the mercenaries having a big payday. The new rules mean a club can only now start with three non Chinese players. It was four plus an Asian player before. This starts next season, but that starts in March. Oscar & co might be hit as six highly paid mercenaries play for his Chinese club. Hilarious if the likes of him come back to Europe touting their wares. Costa beware.

Pretty straight forward, him, Hulk and Akhmedov will start any game, the others there for sub or in case of injury. Nothing to worry for him. If i'd be Kim, i would look for a new club now

Yeah, I just heard that Chinese clubs won't make those offers this summer.

60m from a second division Chinese outfit??? They are top though so bound to be promoted to the Chinese Super League next season but still?

This is going to bottom out eventually. I feel sorry for the homegrown talent seeing these mercernaries swanning in to their clubs. Surely can't be good for morale?

It isn't. From stories coming out of China, the foreign mercenaries look down on the local Chinese as their standard is far below theirs & won't mix, whilst the locals resent the extreme differences with pay & conditions between them. Obviously a recipe for disaster. I can understand China wanting to get a high calibre league, but this is the wrong way to do it, & these players are the worst kind to achieve it.

Nothing good ever comes from a quick fix. All that money could have been used on their own players and infrastructure, allowing the profile to rise organically. G;ad the powers that be are beginning to see sense. Witsel at 28 turning down a move to Juventus to join this club too is crazy! That's got to harm his Belgium chances?

Just can't see Griezman happening if we don't get into the champions league.

The old "I wanna be playing Champions League football" nonsense. If Shanghai Shenhua offered him £300K per week, do you think he'd be thinking about Champions League football? We bought the most expensive footballer this season without Champions League football. I wouldn't want him here anyway if he came out with that. If he wants to play for United, he'll come.

Can't see any top elite player going to China yet and certainly not for 300k.

We signed Pogba after a summer with the hope that Jose would get back into the top 4, and the last few seasons have been minor bumps in Utd history.

IF we miss out again then let's be honest it's becoming a regular occurance and players will be looking at that, especially the best ones.

Also there is no way the club will keep spending £200mil a year on new players/ wages if we don't get back into the CL. The importance of that tournament, long term, is huge for TV revenue and sponsorship - failing to qualify will have a knock on effect, eventually.

championship at best. Burnley, palace and norwich never gave him a second thought. Not a coincidence.... hes not a prem striker

For Carter-Vickers and Edwards perhaps, but Harry Winks is more established now. Pochettino brought him on to see out the last 20 mins (not to replace an injured player) of the game against Chelski ... he wouldn't do that unless he had a high degree of confidence in him.

I'm willing to stick my neck out and say that Winks will be a starting CM regular for us within the next 2 years.

Winks is excellent.
