No, it's exactly my point. I respect that you have a different opion but find it disrespectful to players nonetheless. It's their career, their lives. They are humans which IMO shouldn't be treated like an object.

If the interest originates from a Chinese club, fine. If the player's agent offers him to Chinese clubs, fine as long as the player is aware of it.
The fact that one club approached Mendes to make an offer for Ronaldo shows that Chinese clubs are not shy to ask agents if their players are available. If a club is interested in Rooney, Young etc, they won't hold that interest back.
The football model treats them like commodities. What other career do you effectively legally sell a people from one organisation to another? It's part of the job, just as the players find themselves in an almost unique situation where they have complete job security for the length of their contract.

The players aren't forced to move, just as clubs aren't forced to sell if a player wants to leave. It works both ways mate and by and large it excepted by all parties involved.

Not necessarily doubting the news, but who is "DanKing_1974"?

Is followed by all the top journos in UK & Ireland so I assume he's legit. Not sure who he writes for though.

Thanks. I see Luckhurst "confirming" this too, not that he's that trustworthy either.

Why the hell would Chelsea be interested in Llorente? :wenger:

I think Luckhurst is very reliable when it comes to United transfers. He does not speculate much and when he says its happening, it happens 90% of the time.

Could be. He's had his shockers re: United stuff when quoting "his sources" but he's probably more right than wrong. Him acting prick on twitter has probably helped form my view of him.

I find it quite disrespectful to want to offload players to China. It's nobody's else's business than the player's where he wants to move to, and if a player, whether Ronaldo or one with a much lower ceiling, doesn't follow the very biggest payment and either prefers a league on a higher level or a different environment than China, I applaud him.
If any player doesn't want to go join, he is a fool. In modern world of extreme cost and expenditure, money is the most important object for life. Any sensible player, who feels he is not already set for life with money, should go to China. It benefits both club and the player. Nothing wrong with fans wanting club and unwanted players taking that route. IMHO Rooney, Fellaini, Young, Romero, Darmian, Depay, Smalling (technically not good enough for United) should all go to China through big transfer fees. It would be a win-win situation for all involved.

They're doing this the wrong way round. We're supposed to buy from them.

Love this.

I entirely but respectfully disagree. And I beg your pardon: Extreme costs? Of what? We're talking players who have earned millions at their current or previous clubs. They are fools if they haven't managed to keep it together and have to follow the money. I keep my stance that I find it disrespectful to want to push unwanted players to China for the money. Those players should go to whichever club they want to that is willing to spill out the fee the selling club demands, and if there's no club willing: Tough luck to the selling club. Contracts are no one-way street.

Place a bid or feck off. These guys want to have their cake and eat it.

We should play him tomorrow and cup tie him just for the laugh. And then watch as he scores a hat-trick and everyone wants to keep him.

I'm surprised there's been no Chinese offer for Rooney or Schweinsteiger, surely those are exactly the type of high profile players they're looking for.

I am of the mind that if JM can get life out of players we thought were done, namely Jones, then he can get something out of MD. One last chance I think

You and me both. However if he doesn't rate or want to use either Memphis or Schneiderlin at this point then he must have seen something we haven't. He was very complimentary about Memphis recently though.

I believe mourinho knows what it takes to be a real United player. Maybe these guys just don't show that hunger and desire required for us.
To be a real United player doesn't mean you play well against a few lowly teams we were already expecting to win easily.
When we're trailing 1-0 on a rainy night in Stoke (yes that old analogy) and the players are exhausted, but we still dig deep and get something from the game in the dying minutes,, then you class yourself a United player. When the chips are down, not up.
It's also why so many fail too.

We could almost use the Palace/Hull games away this season as this analogy instead :)
