Verbal agreement is code for there is feck all going on and we are covering our bases. Just so if the transfer does happen we can say we called it.

Im not believing a single tweet until it is an announcement that a player has signed.

We bought Micky for 27 million who had just won Bundesliga player of the year, how the hell is this guy worth double that? We just get mugged off on every transfer. Bayern and Juventus managed to not spend that much but still end up purchasing top quality players.

Juve bought Mandzukic for 15m pounds. Thats the kind of money you spend on a workhorse in your team. If we went for Mandzukic now, Juve would demand 40m and we would be dumb enough to pay it

You cite the Miki transfer, then say we get ripped off on every transfer. Logic.

Workhorse is the new quality at United these days. Max graft and little quality has been nicely dressed up and sold to United fans as the title winning formula, or did you not know that?

I am pretty confident we wont win any significant titles nowadays with that formula. As soon as we meet someone on our level, quality wise and money wise, we will look the worse side. Maybe it worked 2010, but it doesnt seem enough in 2017 as shown this season against most top sides

I guess Jose wants another Lingard for the left wing.

Wouldn't be too disappointed with that. A goal scorer, a fine midfielder, a centre back with promise and Perisic. Wouldn't really want Perisic, but he'd be good as a rotation option.

Rotation with what? Players who do 'ucking nothing?

Yep, solid option. Players do 'uck all rotated with another player. Who might do something, but might also do nothing.

Laughable really.

Professional unpaid scouts such as myself and Sky News use Football Manager 2016 which is far more comprehensive.

:) There are many professional unpaid scouts and coaching experts on here not using your levels of comprehension, good work

Silva, Fabinho, Mendy, Walker and Sanchez? That'd be a bit depressing to be fair, especially if the rumors about us targeting Perisic, Keane and Dier are true.

Although we lead them in total trophies won, now we go ahead with total Major trophies too.

Don't really give two fecks. Just want us to have a stronger team than we do now, that will at least contest the game on a similar level.

No it wouldn't. Stop being dramatic.

Not really bothered because at the end of the day if that is true they going to have Silva, Silva, Sterling, Aguero, De Bruyne, Jesus, Sanchez and Sane. You ain't going to be able to play all of them in the same side. There are going to be unhappy players.

Plus Fabinho isn't the midfielder dictator that Pep needs to play his tiki taka football. His not a midfielder who can control games.

Some of the posts tonight remind me of the summers of 2009/2010. United fans shitting it about who City are buying.

"We need to get our shit together and quickly" there's a whole summer ahead! We literally finished the season 3 days ago.

Making out the players City are linked with are already in the bag then reeling off the most mediocre players we have been linked with as though it's August already and that's all we've signed. So overly dramatic!

People are right. You're turning into a bit of the resident dementor.

I don't care about what some people think on a message board, I'm clearly not the only one here disheartened by the negative type of football we play and the type of workhorse players we are being linked to. Jose said he understood that United required a different profile of team than his other clubs, it's looking like bullshit.

They are players that fit Pep's profile, not Jose.

So Mendy, Fabinho and Sanchez wouldn't fit Jose's "profile"? I disagree. They'd be great signings for United (especially considering our need to strengthen the positions they operate in) just like they'd be for City and any other top team out there.

Even though I find it a bit funny that Pep is showing the imagination of a fecking stone by going after half the players of the team that embarrassed him in the Champions League last season, if they pull off these signings, they'd have had a fantastic window.

Hopefully we'd be able to say the same in August.

Is it just me or is everyone taking the Perisic to United story from Premium Sports HD? If so, I'm not sure if I can really believe that story. However, given what the other Italian journalist mentioned, it seems like Jose is treating Perisic as a backup option in case he cannot get one of his primary wide players.

You need to have a day off or something.

The season ended three days ago ffs. Is Griezmann a workhorse player? Get a grip. We been linked with a few players and expect thousands more by end of summer.

Also regarding your Pep point. Firstly Pep has never been great in the transfer market.

Jose has made a ton of great signings in his career. All Pep is doing is signing players from a team that knocked him out of the champions league.

Except we didn't. Till about March
