Matuidi is Kryptonite to Pogba.
Confused me a little, how?Matuidi is Kryptonite to Pogba.
I hate tweets like this that make no effort to link to the source. Have been the same telegraph quote from last night twisted about 12 different ways by these accounts
Or maybe Deschamps just havent a fecking clue.
Confused me a little, how?
You have someone in mind? I am guessing matuidi comes for 10-15 million and gives us two good years. While we take care of our defense and attack this window and give a chance to perreira to grow.Meh, not really keen on Matuidi. We should go for someone younger.
You have someone in mind?
No, Matuidi is detrimental to Pogba's game, Deschamps has nothing to do with it.
Matuidi runs around like a headless chicken, you put him in with Pogba in a 2 or a 3 and he gets in the way and requires Pogba to play more restrained to cover for Matuidi's lack of discipline.
Can't rely solely on Rashford yet, need a proven goalscorer as well in my opinion. Defoe would have been a good option for a year, don't think Ibra will stay.Griezmann would be a huge signing. Already an iconic player with such a killer instinct in the prime of his career. If we get him, a decent holding midfielder and left back with Rashford as our number 9 we will look a much more well-balanced side.

Looks like it'll be a big summer for City with Zabaleta already gone too

His contract's up, joined them in 2013.I didn't think Navas had been there that long. Have they cancelled his contract or is it up?
Why do you think so? You don't think that a midfield three of Matuidi, Pogba, and Herrera could potentially be a lot better than Fellaini, Pogba, and Herrera?Matuidi and Pogba in a midfield 2 would be horrible. Please no
Who said we're playing a midfield 2?Matuidi and Pogba in a midfield 2 would be horrible. Please no
Not sure.Very misleading title re Rooney. In the article he says he will make up his mind in the future after considering all options. Nothing story
Pogba and Matuidi are both at their best as LCM. I don't see how they'll complement each other. Why do you think so? You don't think that a midfield three of Matuidi, Pogba, and Herrera could potentially be a lot better than Fellaini, Pogba, and Herrera?
Is he too offensive? I don't know much about Matuidi.
Griezmann would do that. We should get a back up to Rashford though yeah. Hernandez back might be a good shout. Can't rely solely on Rashford yet, need a proven goalscorer as well in my opinion. Defoe would have been a good option for a year, don't think Ibra will stay.
Agreed, although this rumour does the rounds every summer so I have my reservations. Many better options available than feckin Matuidi.
It lists the source as AS
I doubt Hernandez would want to come back to be Rashford's backup. Didn't he leave us in the first place because he didn't want to be a backup? And his stock is much higher now than when he left.Griezmann would do that. We should get a back up to Rashford though yeah. Hernandez back might be a good shout.
Add Naingollan, Mendy and Paredes to that list. There are plenty of options out there.Fabinho, Bakayoko and even Eric Dier (who'd cost a fortune) are all better options than Matuidi for the type of midfielder we need.

At least that seems to be the consensus among the people commenting on Instagram. Has this been coming for a while? I don't think I've even noticed any talk about him being linked with a move to City.City for sure
