I think matuidi if we sign him will be a stop gap signing. He is already 30 and maybe we atre investing higher amounts in Attack and defense which are more cause for concern. He will be our ramirez.

Or maybe Deschamps just havent a fecking clue.

No, Matuidi is detrimental to Pogba's game, Deschamps has nothing to do with it.

Confused me a little, how?

Matuidi runs around like a headless chicken, you put him in with Pogba in a 2 or a 3 and he gets in the way and requires Pogba to play more restrained to cover for Matuidi's lack of discipline.

Meh, not really keen on Matuidi. We should go for someone younger.
You have someone in mind? I am guessing matuidi comes for 10-15 million and gives us two good years. While we take care of our defense and attack this window and give a chance to perreira to grow.

Well hopefully Jose knows that, and we won't be buying him. Although he is leaving this season I've heard.

Griezmann would be a huge signing. Already an iconic player with such a killer instinct in the prime of his career. If we get him, a decent holding midfielder and left back with Rashford as our number 9 we will look a much more well-balanced side.

Can't rely solely on Rashford yet, need a proven goalscorer as well in my opinion. Defoe would have been a good option for a year, don't think Ibra will stay.

Looks like it'll be a big summer for City with Zabaleta already gone too

Fabinho, Bakayoko and even Eric Dier (who'd cost a fortune) are all better options than Matuidi for the type of midfielder we need.

Well Atleti are bolstering their attacking options.

City fans might have better info but it seems Kolarov will survive Pep`s purge.

Matuidi and Pogba in a midfield 2 would be horrible. Please no
Why do you think so? You don't think that a midfield three of Matuidi, Pogba, and Herrera could potentially be a lot better than Fellaini, Pogba, and Herrera?
Is he too offensive? I don't know much about Matuidi.

Very misleading title re Rooney. In the article he says he will make up his mind in the future after considering all options. Nothing story
Not sure.
What I got from it is that he's decided to leave. But hasn't decided where.
Delaney has a more detailed illustration.
When the journos asked him if he would speak to Mourinho about his future,he said No. That he knew what he wanted to do

Pogba and Matuidi are both at their best as LCM. I don't see how they'll complement each other.

Griezmann would do that. We should get a back up to Rashford though yeah. Hernandez back might be a good shout.

I doubt Hernandez would want to come back to be Rashford's backup. Didn't he leave us in the first place because he didn't want to be a backup? And his stock is much higher now than when he left.

But yeah, I think we should find another striker to rotate with Rashford - even though we buy Griezmann. Unless we decide to keep Zlatan and he's healthy around the beginning of the season. Then we should be okay up front with Rashford, Zlatan, Griezmann, and occasionally Martial.

Add Naingollan, Mendy and Paredes to that list. There are plenty of options out there.

City for sure
At least that seems to be the consensus among the people commenting on Instagram. Has this been coming for a while? I don't think I've even noticed any talk about him being linked with a move to City.
