Only other club I've seen linked with him is Bayern and that seems unlikely.

Yeah Walker used to be a bit of a joke but in the last few seasons he's completely transformed, rose way above expectations.

Looks like it. There was stuff a few months back saying that now they don't have to worry about UEFA FFP they'd be going mental in the market and I think them just releasing players like this indicates that.
