Am I the only one that doesn't really want Lindelof?

Nope, our reported interest in him is obviously rumors that Benfica and/or his agent are pushing out to the media. That way, a smaller club will probably come around and highjack the reported Manchester United deal, and overpay massively for him. Benfica has been doing this for years, remember being linked to Gaitan 7 years on a row? Lindelöf does not stick out in any way, either for Benfica or the Swedish national team. Can't see Mourinho bringing in a mediocre defender that doesn't even stand out in the portugese league.

Yuri #Tielemans is the medical visit at this time in Monaco. 5-year contract. Amount of the nearby operation 23 M € ! Something big.

I thought he showed glimpses of quality against us. Great move for the player, playing for Ligue 1 champions and CL without having the world media overanalyze every move he makes.

Uh oh! Has a media campaign against Bale started like it did with di Maria et al?

He wants a stepping stone before joing a great club.

Hate to say it but probably a right career choice for him.

Yeah. Of course if he does great at Monaco it will be that much harder and more expensive for us to get him. Ah well, maybe he will remember who was in for him from the start.

Whats the backstory behind this? Is Bale not fancied anymore?
Before his injuries he appeared to be quite crucial in them going on that long unbeaten run.

Smart move, got a good head on his shoulders. Best of luck to the kid, will be doing my best to watch plenty of Monaco next season so let's hope he can continue progressing.

Isco is Spanish and I think them two are up against each other for a place. Also this is probably the last year Real could get a real good fee from him I reckon. Just my opinion though.

Probably the club promised him a leading role in the pitch(including a new position that already demanded to Ancelotti)and individual promotion for ballon d'or.
Obviously he couldn't overcome Cristiano and the injuries didn't help.I guess that those injuries and their treatment have provoked tension Madrid board-Bale

Bale + Griezmann + Bernardo Silva

Some exciting lineup possibilities there if you mix them in with our current team

Hope Real don't have the gall to demand what they paid for him. His injury record should wipe at least £20m off his value.

Feck Bale. Injury prone and that's what we really don't need at Utd after the likes of Jones, Anderson and co in recent seasons.

He was the "Dream" signing a few years ago but with recent niggling injury problems and about to turn 28 (I know it's not old old) I feel that ship has sailed, I'd much rather have Bernardo Silva here, plus Bale had his chance and could of became somewhat of a legend here but chose to take the path he took which is fair enough but I think everyone knew it would turn sour

Now that's a good move for him imo. Sad to watch him go there obviously, he'll go for about three times more in a couple of years. So there indeed was something in the speculation about Mourinho himself contacting him last summer, even if he denied it to the press later on.

I would have Bale here rather than Bernardo Silva. Bale will tear the premier league apart again
Me too but his injury record is a big concern. We can't afford to sign a player who will be injured for half the season. We already have enough players in the physio room.

Interesting perspectives.

I'd take him in a heartbeat tbh.

Will still be better than half the players in the premier league even on that

Not sure if it would be a sensible move, the price tag will be high. I am still skeptical about Real selling him, there were much more whispers last season about Isco and James leaving and both stayed. I could imagine Bale staying for another year and trying to get back his place.

I think the ship has sailed for Bale to join us too - his age and injury record are real concerns if we are talking about the potential amount of money that we could pay. Seems like Real is sensing we will not go in for James, due to our stronger interest in Griezmann and Silva, so are sending feelers out to see who else they can sell to us.
