As nice as all this inane discussion is, this is the transfer tweets thread. If you want to discuss the merits of signing x or y player, take it elsewhere. This is now a whole page without a tweet posted so make sure the next post is a transfer tweet.

What's his relationship like with Mourinho.

With Rojo out for quite a long time, I would take him for a year or 2.
Poor, apparently. Mourinho did play Varane over him and he wasn't happy with Casillas being dropped.

'Under Mourinho, people hated us when we got out there on the pitch,' the Brazilian-born Portugal international Pepe told Cadena Ser.

'It lasted three years and thank God it went very quick.'

'What happened with Mourinho is in the past now. I was strong and got over it. I maintained my high level at Madrid.'

Pretty sure it was strained by the end of Mourinho's time there.

By people does he mean their own fans? Because Jose delivered their only title in the last 8 years.

And I'm sure there are other reasons for people hating Pepe...

It is not impossible, if the deals include yearly payments instead of one single transaction.

Not likely though
That list alone is going to cost more than Bayern's and Juve's entire squad. Beyond unreal.

It'd be more worrying if Jose had a glowing testimonial from Pepe.

Tbf Pepe has been their best defender over the last 2 seasons and has started over Varane.

Pepe (bar his sending off against Germany for his handbags with Muller) has been our second best (sometimes best) performer for our NT. Last year's Euro performance was flawless (no antics as well which is nice). I don't know when he will start declining but i think he's a very solid player and a good transfer.

Today, Correio da Manha talked about United's interest into Úmaro Embaló. a 16-year old winger from Benfica. They miss most of the time, but I thought I should mention here.

Pepe is a Cnut!!! Didn't Rooney elbow Pepe once in a friendly game against Porto in 2006 this was before Pepe was well known.

I remember because he got a 3 match ban by the FA even tho it was a friendly. wtf that was shocking

Bit of old news but there's a shocking lack of tweets in this thread.

Kolasinac is a good signing for Arsenal, theyve done some shrewd business there. He'll add another bit of steel to them too.

I think Fellaini's been good this season for the most part, he's lost his head once or twice but I like him.

5th best placed team in Turkey. I think Fellaini is more quality than that. Gets a lot of flame, but he's a hard worker and gets involved every year with some important goals. A place like Inter or Milan would be more his level.

Rumours about him being offered to China last transfer-window too, so he's definitely on his way out. Could be a sign that we've found a replacement for him too.

If Fellaini goes to Trabzonspor, I really don't think he will end up looking much better than his midfield competition there; which speaks volumes of his ability.

Surely he's better than Rodallega age 31 - Trabzonspor have scored very very little. The others around his positions are Bero, Yokuslu and Onazi and I'd be very surprised if you're irish and have watched any of those 3 names in action  Then you'd have a wild fetish for Turkish midtable games.

Fellana will stay. He's basically the fourth name on the team sheet after Pogba, Ibrahimovic, & Lingard as far as Mourinho is concerned.

Yep, never heard of those jabronis. I still don't think Fellaini would looks among the best players in the league even in Turkey though.

The fact that it open up room to bring in a better midfielder which isn't hard tbh, it really delights me. Then again, he may just decide to injure himself again to avoid the transfer.

As a British Nigerian, I've seen a lot of Onazi, and he definitely has more ability on the ball at least.

Only the big three in Turkey (Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas) can afford a United player (any United player, even Fellaini).

Medium-size Turkish clubs like Trabzonspor have a transfer budget of €10-15m max. They usually buy players for €1-3m.

This Turkish club president is simply using United for publicity.
