Look at the teams involved but our fans think he isnt up to united standard.

Bayern bought Renato Sanchez for £40m so for all we know Martial won't necessarily be at Bayern standards either.

Then if he goes somewhere else and is a bit hit, it will be another one to make Jose look a bad judge of young players. By the time he retires it could be a pretty long list.

No chance of Barcelona. They have enough attackers as it is and are after Griezmann. If they're continuing with the 442 type formation Coutinho will be on the left.
Even if they revert to 4-3-3, still can't fit them all in without throwing team balance out the door. Sound like the case of agent working to make as much noise as possible

Martial hasn't got the character to become a top player at a club like Barca, United or Bayern, he'll be another Anelka, realising his potential for a season or two when he hits his thirties.

He's a good player but he'll never be good enough to perform at a high standard consistently.

Sanches was a kid with 20 odd appearances who couldnt settle, its more of a mental issue. Martial is in a completely different category.

John Cross: Jose Mourinho wants Brazilian star Fred as a midfield replacement for Pogba. Mourinho wants a more tactically disciplined midfielder and a player he can rely on — which is the biggest problem with Pogba, whose inconsistent displays go from brilliant to invisible.

Give us Dembele in return. Happy days!

Really Dembele? You probably want him because some other manager has played him and allow him make mistakes and learn from them. But hey, he's more inconsistent than Martial and in two years you'd be wondering why we let Martial leave.

Well he's a right winger and has the capacity to become one the best players in the world. We need a RW so yeah that's why Dembele would be good for us.

Dembele could at least play on the right. Both are talented players.

Okay, i'll be here to defend him when mourinho and fans turn against him like I defended Mkhi and currently Martial.

We should try to forget about Mkhi. We have Lingard for that position.

Not sure what to think of this. On one hand I love to have young English players going overseas more. On the other hand, not sure PSG is the right choice with how cut throat their approach is.

Problem with Sessegnon - is that he probably will be good enough, but he isn't now.

Taking a thread off topic
What if I was talking about the "I'll be here to defend.." part. Please learn how to read.

Why are you here to defend players of other clubs when you're downplaying a player who left your club on bad term. The irony is strong, reeking WUM attempt

My dear, English is still the problem. I will be here to defend (future tense meaning if and when we sign dembele, I will defend him from criticism) like I defended (past tense meaning I stood by Mkhi when the cafe crucified him). Read my post well.

Just a rehash of the articles they keep doing on our interest in Fred but now with some added Pogba spin. Not sure exactly how Fred would be a Pogba replacement

No way. Fred is not an attacking midfielder. He's playing in the double-pivot of the 4-2-3-1.

These are good players they’ll show that once they leave. At what point do you turn around and say hold on a minute that’s £150m worth of talent, 2 French international players with a feck load of potential, we can’t afford to lose this calibre of player.

Something isn’t right within the club, the players aren’t performing from Sanchez to Pogba to Martial/Rashford if it was 1-2 players I’d say feck em but when it’s 75% of the squad you need to look at the bigger picture.

I think there’s a massive issue behind the scenes at United, we could sign Messi or Ronaldo and you just know they wouldn’t perform in this miserable fecking style of play/tactics we churn out every week, there’s not an attacking player in the world you could put into our current setup that could change things and that’s the scary part.

Agreed.

The problem is quite obvious imo and it would be madness to let that kind of talent leave in favour of that miserable egoist when he's probably odds on to leave/be sacked withing the next 6-18 months anyway.

This. Jose usually leaves clubs in a mess so we better hope we aren’t another that falls into that category.

Save for the names of players (Sanchez, Pogba), this post could have been written during of the post-Fergie coaching tenures. That alone shows how far we still have to go. Yes, we've shown progress the last couple of years, but the fact that we've spent loads overhauling our squad for years straight and still can't put together a consistent string of coherent performances where we get the best out of our most talented players is a real indictment of our club philosophy after Ferguson retired.
