Personally the signing of Courtois(and Leno or Alisson) does not excite me at all. If it can not be De Gea I think I'd prefer to stay with Navas and give Zidane's son a chance in a couple of years.
If you pay Alexis 23 million euros net per year, surely you can match Bale´s wages.
Kroos is fantastic but now he earns 10 million euros net, an amount that many English teams can surpass easily. He cost around 30 million. If we wants to go and we get more than 120/140 million for him it would be a great deal.
Keeping all the players sounds very nice but I think Madrid have to be realistic with the market situation, and continue with the model of signing the best attackers and being lucky / clever when reinforcing other positions.
So you'd turn down Courtois for free cause you couldn't have de Gea? Crazy, what is Zidanes son doesn't turn out nowhere near as good as expected?

There's no way we'd pay two lots of Sanchez wages a week, not for Bale.

How many teams would pay 120-140m for Kroos?

Depends on the conditions. Right now signing De Gea for €100+m wouldn't excite me at all either. Curtois for free next year? Much better

Btw, i've seen Alisson all season, he's amazing. Would absolutely pay €50/60m for him right now. Probably won't be enough though :(

Caf needs to accept destiny

But seriously, i wouldn't mind keeping him as Cristiano's backup. Grab Firmino from liverpool to compete with Benzema for the other spot. Isco and Asensio to complete the attack. Lucas as the tactical variation. Sell Kovacic and give Ceballos a proper chance. Or send him on loan and keep Kovacic. Keep Llorente. Sign a reliable and above injury-free CB. Send Vallejo on loan maybe. Not sure about Achraf. Nacho is a great RB backup tho, but i'd feel safer with 8 players given how Varane is so injury prone

Or sell Kroos, yes :D. Either move Isco into his spot, or go after someone like Pogba/Milinkovic-Savic/Thiago...Saul would have been awesome but there's no chance :(

I like the look of Soler, but it's another difficult signing, plus he's very young and raw yet...frankly i'd love it if United accepted a straight swap between Kroos and Pogba.

We might have missed a trick with Naby Keita...

Most of the team is done anyways:
Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Carvajal, Nacho are fine. Theo should get another chance. We're one CB short and maybe a RB if we want to send Vallejo on loan.
Casemiro, Modric, Llorente, Kovacic, Ceballos, Kroos, Isco, Asensio, Lucas. Again, we're pretty much covered. We could even sell Kroos and wouldn't need to sign a replacement...

Cris, Benzema, Bale, Mayoral. Now here we need an upgrade over Borja Mayoral. Preferably someone in the mold of Benzema -a playmaking CF-. I really like Firmino personally. Of course getting someone like Kane or Lewandowski would be awesome anyways. The best move in fact, but neither looks very likely atm

"Mourinho is pushing United to add as many as four new defenders ahead of next season.
Monaco are said to want a minimum of €35million ($42 million) for Sidibe."

Wow, kind off shocked to see Real fans don't consider Kroos to be a vital player in the team, atleast less important than Isco and Asencio. Would most Real fans happily trade Kroos for Pogba in a straight swap?

Yes hopefully two FBs and a CB that would make 3 signings, not sure we need a 4th defensive signing though..

I'd take Alex Sandro for anything up to 80 mill euros. He's top 5 LB's and exactly what we need right now. Right age too.
Bale for a 40 mill euros could be a good deal but anything more and he can rot on Real Madrids bench. He'd have to take a wage cut as wel.

Sidibe would be my first choice RB, and that's a good price. If we can get Sandro at LB and Alderweireld at CB, that would be a solid back 4 (with Bailly). Add in a couple of CMs (like Fred and Jorginho) and a RW (Mahrez) and we're good to go. Notice that none of those are blockbuster signings (like Pogba, Di Maria or Lukaku) but would be damn effective and actually improve us.

Sandro and Alderweireld would be dream signings imo. A proven PL defender and one of the best LB's in the world. Although Sandro won't come cheap. Sidibé is a solid player as well.

Agreed on Sandro and Alderweireld, but I'm not sure on Sidibe. There aren't many options out there who fill me with great confidence though. Seems to be a real lack of genuine world class full backs nowadays

Alex Sandro isn’t worth 80 million euros.
He’s not a Marcelo or a David Alaba (at his best) level player.
There’s absolutely no value in the market.
There is, but we’ll have to dig a little deeper to find them players with value.

Exactly. There aren't many alternatives at RB. I wouldn't mind him here though. Especially if we can get him at a reasonable price. After all, every transfer is a bit of a gamble.

What are his strengths/weaknesses? I read he's very good defensively, capable offensively and has a good cross on him.

Not a transfer tweet per se but.. What is going on here? Don't know the context.

That's the greatest tweet ever. Up there with the "do you want your head spinning."

Di Marzio broke the usual embargo to report quotes from a press conference he didn't attend.
Alright ok maybe he shouldn't have done that but did it really warrant that reaction? Sun fighting the good fight by taking the moral high ground as always.

No the mud slinging on Twitter is embarrassing, even in these circumstances. The newspaper industry isn't exactly thriving though, so they are a little touchy about this stuff.

Poor Sun lost out on their mud sling opportunity by the big bad Di Marzio. The press conference was embargoed for those attending, am I right? So if someone did leak it to Di Marzio, Custis should vent at that person.

Go to any Real Madrid fans site and you realize they dont really like their players. They want to sell Marcelo and CR7 every season when they have some bad games:lol:

80 million Euros is a very high fee, even for Sandro. He's good, but not worth that much
And 40 mill is too low for Bale.
I think we can get them both for 120 mill pounds, 60 mill each and I hope we don't bid above 60 for Bale

If Van Dijk cost Liverpool 75 mill pound then why wouldn't Sandro cost us more than 60 million euros? He's atleast as good and there is a huge demand from our side for a good LB.
I'd say 60 mill pound for Bale is a bit steep considering he will more than likely demand huge wages and will be injured half the time. He'll turn 29 in July and relies alot on his pace. You probably wouldn't get more than 2 years out of him. Also, Real want to get rid of him but who can realistically afford him? City, us, Bayern, Chelsea, Juve? We are the only one without a proper right winger. It's up to us to dictate the fee not RM.

Grab Firmino from liverpool to compete with Benzema for the other spot.

Firmino could easily become just one of those guys who're labled as a 'one-season-wonder'.

The guy has been great, but it remains to see if Firmino can improve for the next 1-2 seasons.

Lol. Cristiano is comfortably the best better out-and-out striker in the world compared with the likes of Kane, Lewandowski, Cavani etc.

It's just waste of money for signing a pure #9 or have you forgotten when Cristiano-Morata played together since they were too similar?

What are his strengths/weaknesses? I read he's very good defensively, capable offensively and has a good cross on him.
He's good going forward, strong physique and technique but kind of a liability defensively. I don't really think he's worth a bigger club than Monaco and he may be a weak link for France in Russia.

No no. Kroos is more important to the team than Isco or Asensio. Also a better player. I just think we can make do without him and improve. He's amazing, but him and Modric together don't really mesh all that well. The team suffers greatly defensively because of it, and on attack we lack a bit of penetration through the middle. I'd swap him for Pogba. Because i rate Pogba very highly, and think he'd fit us better. Btw, in truth between Kroos and Modric i don't know who i'd give up. But Modric is too old to make serious money off of, and also too magical. We need at least one such player on the pitch, we're real madrid. Win and entertain
