In the case of Madrid I think it could be a very possible signing, especially because it seems that they have been studying that option for some time. In addition there are several players who could be good options for Real as Llorente, Vallejo or Mayoral.

Salah was very good at Basel even before he joined Chelsea. He had Chelsea, Liverpool and I think Spurs all after him then. He was very good in the CL, and was also very good at Roma.

What about Aschraf Hakimi (I believe is the spelling). He looks a very talented RB.

He is not ready for Madrid. To be in the line-up,where used to be Carvajal,coming from 2B is too much. He is very green.
He should leave for a couple of years and then assess again if he is good enough

I know Mourinho said just 2 in but I'll be disapoointed if we don't have 2 dynamic new FB's and 2 new CM's added at the start of next season.

Isn't Carvajal locked in as starter for Real though? Here the lad would have a genuine shot at being the starter given Valencia's age.

He is but they'd want a backup along the lines of what Danilo was rather than a youth product. Carvajal also had a heart infection a few months ago. Didn't seem to be that bad but Real will want a better backup.

Gotcha, but I don't see this lad wanting to be a back-up from what I've seen and read, I guess it might come down to whether he wants to live in Spain vs being a starter.

Lol. He's on his way to Madrid if anything. Striker is not our main issue. Midfield needs to be upgraded. Honestly, getting Willian from Chelsea would have been far better than getting Sanchez from Arsenal. Willian is more of a team player and is mainly a RW/ RF. He would have been a better fit.
 
Watching Sanchez play on the right wing and Martial on the left wing was however something promising and playing a 4-3-3 was a cherry on top. We need strong quick midfielders who can press when we don't have possession. Jorginho and SMS could be good additions.

I would laugh at them if they sell us umtiti for his release clause of 57 million and buy Alderweirald for 40-50 million. Granted Toby is better right now but Umtiti is younger and will be the better player over next 3 years. I also think this is a bit of leak by Levy to raise his price as they will have to sell him in the summer with his clause and contract situation.
 
Gajtan i understand. He is sub in atletico, last contract, 30 years old- why not . But carrasco's move is mind blowing. 24 years old. Excellent player. And to ruin career like this....

All I'll say is just as well you aren't in charge of the clubs transfer policy. This isn't Football Manager or FIFA where you just sign all the best players for the sake of it. It just doesn't work that way.

Please explain to me you logic for wanting to sign a striker when less than a year ago we spent nearly £80 million on one? What happens to Lukaku if we sign a striker like Lewandowski? Not to mention Martial and Rashford who are talented young players who are arguably at their best when played as a striker. I suppose you want us to sign Kane, Suarez, Cavani, et al? Why stop at Lewandowski? Let's sign all the strikers. Some fans are just living on another planet.

Maybe you'll understand my logic better if I use your analogy. Why would you want to pull a stunner on a night out in the first place when you have one waiting for you at home?

I'm fully aware of what they mean. So you're trying to say that the 3 strikers we currently have isn't enough depth when we are only playing with one up top most of the time? That's not to mention Zlatan although to be fair he will be off soon.

Surely you realise aside from GK and LW that ST is the last position we need to buy in. Other positions are in dire need of strengthening. Lewandowski is 30 later this year and would cost a fortune. Of all the players we are linked with (and there are many) he would make the least sense.

Your use of the words "depth, competition, injuries" suggests that you somehow envisage a situation whereby either Lukaku or Lewandowski would play the role of backup striker should the later sign. Do you realise how little sense that makes? Your whole logic in wanting us to sign him is flawed. It might work out for you on FIFA but good luck getting either player to go along with not being the main man.

Jose did try to get Willian though, and this was confirmed by Willian himself. Our feeder club Chelsea threw a strop and wouldn't allow it.:)

Remember the whole forum up in arms against Willian when he was linked to us.
