I fecking refreshed this to see what it said. Back to bed for me!

Ok - I admit it, I have only seen this guy play about 2-3 times in my life ... but can somebody explain why West Ham would want to buy a 25 year old striker from Preston, whose goal pr game ratio is mediocre at best ?

Moyes and Preston, what else? Panic buy. At our level, it was Fellaini. This is West Ham's level with him.

Assume the Everton boys were too old to even go for a panic buy now.

I think this is what happened to be honest, especially with the way City are throwing money around right now.
It was quite easy to figure out with the stories coming out when we "suddenly" swooped in. The stories about Sanchez wanting City but United offered too much money nonsense.

Yeah, you're right. Pep just looks like a fool now too with all his recent comments about not being able to afford players and so on.

One big player trade pretty munch.
We only got Alexis because Arsenal could get Micky. Arsenal only got Auba bevause Dortmund got Batshuayi and Dortmund only got Batshuayi because Chelsea got Giroud. And Chelsea only got Giroud because Arsenal got Auba.

Fair enough. He is an important player for Leicester, he would be a bench warmer for City, so bound to be a difference in valuation.
Yeah but City must know that someone like Mahrez is not going to be (relatively cheap). He's a former PFA POTY, 26 years old with bags of talent ideally suited to the type of football City play. Leicester under no obligation to sell due to the TV money and City backed by the sheiks. Why stop at £60 million.
