Reports surfacing today that we are considering on hiring Blanc. I would be happy with that appointment to be honest.

I still think we can get Pep to come here. But it would need some Divine Intervention. Can someone call up Sir Alex

Rodriguez isn't that good. Do not want.

Can he play on the right? What happens when Shaw gets back, we're going to have £30m players battling it out for the left back position?
No he can't he's purely left footed, he's basically a better Leighton Baines. Could potentially play as a left winger but probably wouldn't be great.

Rodriguez just doesn't make sense. While he is a very good player (slightly worse/around the same level as Shaw in defense, miles better in attack, so in overall a better player), Shaw is just 20, and looks dead cert to become a top player. There is no point on spending another 30m on a left back, when one of them will be on the bench.

Unless the plan is to put Shaw as a left winger, but I wouldn't like to see that considering that Shaw's main asset is how good he is on defense, while being very underwhelming in attack. Rodriguez as left winger doesn't make sense too. Despite that he has a Beckham-esque cross, he isn't fast to play in that position, neither has the other attributes.

I call this bullshit. I like to see Shaw develop in that position and become a world class player.

No he can't but the rumor is BS anyway. Undoubtedly he will leave Wolfsburg in the summer (buy out clause is somewhere around €25m). With this tweet Telegraph again goes Indykaila. Pathetic.

In my opinion all these tweets which actually just mention other newspaper reports and news should be banned. Pointless.

You don't know if he's in Ancellotti's plans, he hasn't been playing regularly (even with the injury), he's apparently on high wages and I'm not sure he's a huge favourite with the BM fans. If 'Pool get top four and Klopp can show him a serious plan for the future of the team, it's the sort of silly move that could happen, yeah.

There are no guarantees that Shaw will get back to the same level.
While true that there is a risk of that, the wise thing to do would be to wait and see before splashing out another £30m. Just because the club has money doesn't mean it should be going around spending it without any thought behind it, especially since those £30m can make the difference in getting a top-tier player (bumping his salary up by u £6m a year if he's choosing between two clubs).

Yeah the Telegraph gossip column is pure clickbait.

What about this season though? If we can get a better left back for the rest of this season, we are more likely to finish top four (or win the title) therefore being in the Champions League next year, therefore being able to attract better players and, possibly, a better manager in the summer.

I think Pep had already committed himself to City before we even dipped our toe in the water. Pep would have been ideal but we may have been too slow again. Blanc surely would be better than Giggs?

In truth there's a list as long as your arm of better options than Giggs, Blanc is ok I guess but he manages in a league with a team that is ridiculously funded in comparison to the rest so it's hard to judge and he doesn't inspire much passion, bit of a cold fish.

Do not want Rodriguez if its to battle with Shaw. Shaw has showed he could be one of the best LBs in the world.

He already is, unless we are looking to converting one of them to right back (looks unlikely) I can't see it happening.

Don't even think we need any more left backs. We're just very unfortunate that Shaw, Rojo and Jones (which means Blind can't go left back) are out.

The start of the season made me think that Shaw could maybe be played as a traditional left winger, I even think that he could emulate Bale on the right.
