Yep I don't believe Madrid would ask him again I think there is more chance of him in the future managing Atletico Madrid than Real ever again.

Nah. Perez said after Mourinho left the door is left to return. Mourinho also said that he sees himself returning.

20 mil. euros?! Feck it,keep him, take a risk and see whats going to happen with their transfer ban.Lets see can they risk it another season with their current GK pair.

Interesting thing is, that you'd think they wouldn't be able to. In which case, they'd likely buy someone other than de Gea if de Gea is not available. If the club puts its foot down, de Gea could easily stay here for the long term. At the same time, if a player wants out, do we really want him in? Lots of things to consider I suppose.

But yeah, E20m? I'd reject that on principle.

€20m they can do one...If that is true then I would tell De Gea he ain't going anywhere next season and he is more than welcome to run down his contract.

Depay is already confirmed isn't it?
Oh I suppose so. I instantly assumed he meant Depay as one of them to be honest. Interesting if Mitten wasn't even talking about him being one.

It really comes across how much Mitten loathes Van Gaal. It's like, despite being a United fan, he'd like to see him fail just so we get back to the United way.

I reckon he will be gone for around €35m. 20m is just the opening salvo I'd guess.

Wondering about the 2 signings ready to go that Mittens talking about. I'm hoping Gundogan is one of them

It's clearly Pogba and Muller.

Interesting that he considers the community shield (of last season) as a trophy, just to drive home the point that we've been trophy-less this season.

Indeed. Moyes won a trophy. Van Gaal didn't. That's not good enough.

I don't understand why Woodward would go through all the trouble of getting two transfers completely sorted before getting LVG's approval?

Could just be their clubs still have something to play for so they don't want to announce. Dortmund for example have a cup final. Van Gaal might just give the nod at the end to complete it.

He has maybe had much of his inside info taken away from him, which is why he writes such flimsy waffling articles nowadays.

Had to think what he was counting last season for a while, then it hit me, the bloody charity shield? Nonsense writing.

Ready to go deals would surely be for players easy to get so not the likes of Pogba, Muller, Kane, Bale or the more muppetastic type signings. My guess is a CB and Gundogan.

A better guess would be that Andy knows feck all. Since when has he been so shy to reveal target names?

I'll be honest Pex, I don't really keep close enough track of which journos are supposed to be more reliable than the others, I see Mitten, Ogden, Delaney and Ducker referenced a lot but I don't really go off more than the base article as I figure in truth most only have kernels of info.

LVG said he didn't want to do the Depay deal while the season was still going because of the distraction it can cause. He only did because PSG forced his hand. Presumably it's the same with other potential signings.

Under Moyes, Ogden and a couple others who I forget now were being directly briefed by Moyes. Ogden himself said Moyes was taking them out for dinner and feeding information in return for favourable and supportive articles. That's definitely where Kroos links came from as well as others.

Now there's no inside information as such, just a selection of journalists who get briefed by the club on a more official basis.

Then there's Ladyman who seems to be Woodwards man of choice for special briefings.

Mitten has inside information, don't get me wrong but it's more from sources in the dressing room or old players. Nothing gets leaked at board level these days.

For those who know, how reliable is Mitten? I've read some of his articles, twitter things or whatever, for a year or so now, and it seems to be mostly nonsense.

Like I wrote a few days ago, saying we've got a couple of signings lined up without saying who they are is meaningless. We're likely to sign a few more players this summer, allowing anyone who predicted new signings to say "Told you so".
