Pretty sure he said he was going to retire before joining us as well. Basically he's a big wuss.

After a disappointing day at work, I always contemplate retirement. Then I check my credit card balance and get back to work.

Apologies if I've somehow missed this but I can't find this story on the Marca twitter feed(both Spanish or English) or on their website. So with that in mind can we stop posting shite from twitter that's completely made up.

People are going mental and its not even May yet. Cant wait for mass suicides in July.

Have people forgotten that Bayern are playing Dortmund soon in a cup semifinal? I see this as an attempt to unsettle them rather than actually pursuing him.

Didn't they leak the info regarding both the Gotze and Lewa transfers before big games between the two teams?

The Gotze transfer was leaked just before their CL semi against Real.

I don't understand this club's infatuation with signing as many strikers as possible while leaving glaring gaps elsewhere like playing an immature teenager in defense and a crappy winger at right back.

Signing De Jong or Janmaat is a sackable offence.

Janmaat would be a non-horrific signing at RB. He's turning 26 this summer and is a decent footballer. I don't think Van Gaal loves him, as he ended up benching him during the World Cup for Verhaegh, alluding to passing/possession as the reason, but Janmaat still said glowing things about Van Gaal.

If Rafael was playing well but still dealing with injuries, Janmaat would make a lot of sense as a signing for 6-8 million with maybe Januzaj on loan the other way (if McLaren is the new manager he's not stupid enough to pick also-rans like Gouffran or Obertan instead of him). Good cover at RB, won't complain if he's not first choice.

But instead and especially if Rafael leaves, we have a decent backup in Valencia and we need a feck off 45-50 games a year excellent right back like Madrid have 2 of, or a high-upside type like Shaw.

Janmaat is shit. Van Gaal must think so too, seeing as he dropped him for Kuyt at the WC.
