It was actually a text from a friend who works there, telling me they've appointed somebody else. So they've still not actually informed me. Ballbags.
For me the only keeper that can replace Dave is Petr Cech. That would really soften the blow if/when De Gea leaves as I think he's been the best keeper in the prem for a long, long time. He's pretty much as solid as you can get and a far better option than Lloris if we can get him.
Reading some of these tweets and how some of these clubs operate, I think we have to start playing the transfer market a bit more dirty. We let clubs like Real walk all over us.

Sport Witness is great, one of the best run Twitter accounts IMO. Plus Lucas who runs it (or has a big part of it anyways, I think) is a United fan to.

I'm not too bothered at the prospect of United missing out on Gundogan. Sure, it was exciting when Sky reported that a deal was close, but he's not really what we need at the moment. He can't be Carrick's replacement and that should be the priority this summer.
I can't really see us signing more than one midfielder as we also need a winger, center back, right back and quite possibly a new striker and a replacement for De Gea. Signing Gundogan alone would be disappointing, much rather us get someone like Schneiderlin instead.
