Translation:
Director Marcel Brands of PSV says with pain in his heart that it's very likely Memphis will leave PSV in the summer for a topclub. 'If you see which clubs informed about him, they really are the top of the football world. We had offers last season but Memphis wanted to become champion and topscorer in the league first (which both should be a matter of time, he's topscorer with 19 goals and could be champion if Ajax lose their next match). We would like to see him stay another year but if I'm realistic and I would run a big club I'd sign him up aswell. We're happy to sell but we would lose a great kid and a fantastic footballer'.
Cheers for translating. I'd be surprised if we don't land this lad.

Dani Alves wouldn't be as bad as some are making out; he's experienced and was one of the best not too long, could offer some great insight to our younger right backs, plus he basically knows our philosophy inside out. We'd save plenty of money that we'd have to spend on Clyne or whoever else we're linked with, and maybe spend it elsewhere. At 31, he's still physically very strong and seems to be as fast as he was 5 or 6 years ago, could easily go on for another 2 or 3 seasons. Might be worth the punt.

Isn't Sagna supposedly leaving?
Leaving to where? Who else is going to pay him £100k a week? If I was him I would just stay and collect my money. Maybe I should make a twitter account and give him some financial advice.

What younger right backs? McNair isn't one and Rafael will be out if he comes in. Valencia won't be going nowhere.

Well that he's still quality player can mean he's part of this rebuilding. Van Gaal said he sees a rightback in McNair and we've got Janko aswell. If we get 2 years out of Valencia/Alves for our youth to mature, that would be a good reason to sign him. I'm not the biggest fan of this idea, but I wouldn't mind Alves on a free if van Gaal sees something in him.

The odds against McNair or Janko being our right back of the future aren't great, I wouldn't think. How many youth players in the last 10 years have been good enough for that sort of major role?

If we sign Alves and (sadly) sell Rafael, we should really be looking for a talented and really young rightback to learn and back up, compete with and then take Alves' job.

Don't have the ability to put the tweet from the daily mail, but there's a story on their site and they're reporting united are going after Hummels and Gundogan in the summer.

Eventually Carrick and Rooney will need replacing, but that looks blooming marvellous!

In the last 10 years, Fabio, Raf, Wes & Nev have played major roles at right back! Am I missing your point?

Everyone seems to be quoting this Diego Errichetti though.

Obviously Hummels is a very good CB, good signing, we'll have to see how he adapts to the Prem if we sign him.

Just got a message from a newbie, @unplayable . THIS IS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED:

"First of all, yes he did say that he is good enough for United, so that's probably a good thing.
But he only said it because Owen Hargreaves was in the studio (Sky Germany) saying that he wasn't good enough because of his defensive weaknesses. Then they cut to Klopp who heard Hargreaves' comments and he said that he thinks Hummels would be good enough for us.

So I think it was really a case of a coach defending his player."

Did Klopp really say Hummels is thinking about it though?
