I'm not so sure. I think Clyne is definitely one of the players. That would make a lot of sense and given our behind the scene Shaw deal with Southampton, it is also very possible. It was also mentioned on Sky a few times before Christmas that a deal for Clyne had already been done.

Depay has liked a couple of tweets about Manchester United and we all know he gets on well with LvG. That one would also make a lot of sense and been done quickly to avoid a potential bidding war because of his successful season.

The third could be anyone It could just be a very promising youth player that we haven't really heard of, like the other lad who tweeted about United last week.

Obviously all of it could be complete bollocks, but after our early season dealing last Summer it is entirely possible. It's definitely got my muppet juices flowing a little. We just need @Pexbo to come in here and start the Summer fires burning.
I wouldn't mind a young CB coming in, but not yet another young player who is going to disappear into the black hole that is our academy system.

Have we even been linked with this Vietto chap yet? There's been a lot of talk about his low release clause at the moment and we'd be insane not to be trying to snap him up. The improvement on our current strikers for around £14million would be too good to miss, so really hoping this is one of the three deals.

Bit early for this stuff.

Couldn't imagine any club allowing players to talk to other clubs & agree deals during the season & outside the transfer window.

But for me Depay, Hummels & Clyne would be the obvious choices. Though none of whom would be my personal selections.

No but PSV, for example, already saying Depay leaving. Reckon contract already agreed with Clyne.

Keegan's tweet wouldn't surprise me if it was correct, especially following the last two summer windows. If Ed can get a verbal agreement on clubs/players now, then hats off to him.

Surprised no-one's mentioned DeJong as the 3rd; Depay, Clyne and DeJong seems realistic to me...
De Jong hasn't been mentioned because he is an average, old midfielder and we have enough of those already. He is not coming here and thank feck for that.

Out of contract in the summer with reports in Italy saying we've agreed a deal with him. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he came here.

PSV have already said Memphis will be going and players like Gundogan and Clyne are coming into the last year of their contracts, it's not hard to believe we have some deals in place tha we negotiated back in January. feck this De Jong shit again, he's a has been and far from what we need.

I think it could be Coleman instead of Clyne if we are looking for a rightback
Gundogan is a very enticing proposition. Should be relatively cheap considering he only signed a year extension. If he can stay fit and replicate his 2011-2013 performance level, it would be an absolute steal. He is a bonafide Top 5 central midfielder in terms of potential.

As for De Jong, I wouldn't mind him either. He'll likely come on a Bosman and could serve as a last resort defensive midfield option as a squad player. Say what you will about him and his relative technical deficiencies but De Jong is a terrier who can destroy the momentum of opposition attacks, is a leader who's tough as nails (something we currently lack in the team's backbone), has a lot of big game experience, can play to a set of instructions, and gives 100 % in terms of commitment. May not be the most glamorous choice but in a pragmatic sense if all else fails, atleast we'll have a Gattuso-lite backup to call upon since we currently lack that kind of a physical presence in midfield.

Clyne would be a better option I feel simply because he can play both right and left back.

I completely agree with your comments regarding De Jong, he'd be a useful addition to the squad. Remember what van Gaal said when he joined he is not too concerned about a players age but more their experience.

Since we've gone away from playing wingbacks, Clyne would seem to be the better option than Coleman. I'd really rather Rafael was playing though, he's a better defender

Guys this is not a discussion thread. Its for transfer tweets and reactions to them. Take the discussion elsewhere.

Don't get too excited, its probably another 18 year old GK from Lazio, a 19 year old from Serbia and Nathaniel Clyne, How many TOP European teams actually agree to sell their TOP stars to clubs in different leagues in March?
Only those who are able to pay some extra.

What's he saying? I don't do Twitter so can't check. Why is he banned?

He talks a load of bollocks. That's why.

Anyway, as for the three players I reckon the two most likely ones are Clyne and Berahino. Not sure about the third. I don't think any top players will have committed to anyone yet, let alone a team that's not guaranteed champions league footie so I can't see it being someone like Hummels.
