Not at all happy at Danny leaving. We should keep upping the price until its £24m + add ons. You can't turn that kind of money down. But £16m to strengthen one of our 3 direct rivals in an area they are crippled in? Madness. Horrible feeling he'll go on to score 20 goals and make us rue the day we sold him. Especially as in 3 years we'll need to replace all our forwards anyway.

Welbeck will never score 20 goals in the premier league

you don't specialise in emplyment rights, do you?
No and I know its not possible to do it the way I said but I hope they do find a way they can terminate his contact because he doesn't add anything to the squad, he'll be out of contract at the end of the year, leave for nothing and milk a signing on fee. It would be more beneficial to utd if we terminate his contract and giving his wages to charity

Imagine the meltdown if Welbeck and Hernandez left and then the Falcao fell through right at the end of the deadline

Whatdo clubs actually have to 'do' by the 11pm deadline. Do they have to have signed the contract and passed medical?

The deal has to be 'confirmed' whatever that entails. I know that a medical doesn't have to be completed by deadline time as long as the deal is 'confirmed pending successful medical'.

He's been a good servant, he's wanted by a big club and it would be petty of United to deny him a chance to join. He wouldn't get the matches needed to shine at United and deserves to have a chance at another good club. He's looking at being number 4 down the line after Van Persie, Rooney and freaking Falcao with Wilson coming up. In the next 3 years United will probably sign a striker or two. He'll never be first choice, at least not in the near future. He needs to play and frankly selling him to Arsenal is the right thing to do as far as I'm concerned. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer he'd go to another club but this is what he wants so United should grant him his wish.

So were Everton just stringing us along, having already decided to sign him to a contract in January? Fukc

So we are losing all our decent backup, and keeping the players who offer very little.

I think that's a bit unfair. We've let go off Chicarito and Welbeck, one who wasn't suited to our play and one who wanted more minutes, let Nani and Kagawa go to make up for more places as we were overloaded in that position. Valencia got a contract early and Young played well in the pre season. We've tried to move Cleverley but the player didn't want to move. The only one left is Anderson, but we do need a club to sell though.

Cleverley is so fecking annoying. I used to stick up for him years ago but he's one of a pretty big number of players who are stealing a living off of us.
He should realize he's shite and has no future here. I'd stick him in the reserves for the whole year then kick him out for free at the end.

Can't believe we're selling Welbeck. He'd actually be a great partner for Falcao with his ability to take a man on and his neat one touch passing. Also Falcao is 28 he's had a serious knee injury, Rooney is 28 and has an injury record, van Persie is 30/31 and spends most of the season injured. Adding the fact we'll likely play 2 strikers then it would surely mean Wilson promoted to the first team?

If his contract expires next summer, I wouldn't put it past them. Why pay a fee when they can hang on to January and sign a pre-contract them. Tom is going to get some abuse if this is the case.

So you think he should hang around for three years until he gets a game? That assumes we don't go out and spend money on a replacement or don't have another player coming through the youth team.

He's not worth £24 million and he's not getting a game. That's the reality of the situation.

Whilst its great when young lads from the youth team make it, here we're moving on a player who can't get a regular game for a genuinely top class centre forward. That's a positive for me and I'm sure Arsenal fans would rather have Falcao than Welbeck.

So Cleverley spitting his dummy out means we will lose out on a few million transfer fee and he will leave for free next year, while also making us pay another years salary for his sorry arse.

If he doesn't play a game for an entire season, doubt Everton will want him.
