Based on me rating him much higher than you.

And higher than Louis Van Gaal - a very experienced and succesful manager.

People like Welbeck because he works hard and is a local lad - and thats fair enough. But he isn't a regular and at his age he needs to be if he's going to kick on.

People wanted LVG because he's not afraid to make a tough decision if he feels its the right one. On that basis I'm happy with it.

My opinion is that Welbeck lacks composure and has a heavy touch at times and I think those issues will prevent him from becoming a really top player. I saw someone suggest that "Wenger loves his type" and compared him to Thierry Henry which is madness.

People would be making much less of a fuss if he wasn't home grown.

With him and Welbeck in the team they're only a defensive midfielder short of being title contenders.

Centre half? Koscielney, Mertesaker and Chambers won't get them through the season. I'm not sure if I've missed anyone out but they said on the radio tonight that Wenger see Monreal as next in line.

EDIT - Sorry, just realised you were responding to the Nastasic tweet.

Ignore me!

People shouting "feck her right in the P@@@y is getting very boring now.

What's your point? Fergie is another very experienced and successful manager, and he rated him, as does Wenger obviously.

So you think he should hang around for three years until he gets a game? That assumes we don't go out and spend money on a replacement or don't have another player coming through the youth team.

He's not worth £24 million and he's not getting a game. That's the reality of the situation.

Whilst its great when young lads from the youth team make it, here we're moving on a player who can't get a regular game for a genuinely top class centre forward. That's a positive for me and I'm sure Arsenal fans would rather have Falcao than Welbeck.

No. I think we should play him more. 3 up front, he could get plenty of games. He's still young and he's got everything except the finish imo. Now we've got 3 CFs who can only play through the middle and have massive egos, all aging, all injury prone. Danny also has pace which nobody else in our squad apart from Di Maria has. I just think it's too early for him to leave.

Edit: Also, why the feck would we strengthen Arsenal?

we agreed a fee with Villa? Everton is something different, but even they wouldnt give him 80.000 a week
He wanted Everton and Martinez, not villa. As much as you hate him he deserves to have a say in where he plays his football.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sky Sports started to curtail their reporter outside the training ground schtick. On the other hand, I'm finding it very hard to care. Cringeworthy TV to be honest. Rather get transfer news from the Caf.
Its past the watershed (and the watershed is 8pm on Sky, or it was when i used to have Sky anyway) and its all just stupid banter that Sky probably don't even mind anyway as it probably gets people talking which brings viewers to them.

More a fan of anal?
If truth be told anal is an adventure that is for the few, however, I'm more a fan of originality. Trying to get your 5 minutes of fame by wearing sunglasses and shouting "feck her right in the p@@@y" stinks of desperation to fit in to me.

Poor Jim White. The Falcao news came way too early. What fun it would have been seeing him reveal it.

So why was he at the Villa training ground? Apparently demanded £80k they refused. And then went to Everton.

If we give AFC Welbeck then we're taking a huge risk. selling off young english talent that we've honed for years. if he comes good we will look very very stupid. Why cant we sell to Spurs???

Yes, at least Welbeck will now play football, Cleverly won't.

wish him all the best. The right move for him imo. I understand why he wanted to leave and why we wanted to sell. Never rated him that high like some guys on here.
