I was getting worried over some posts about how much LvG likes him.. RE: De Gea
I'd imagine he would have been back up. He would have put pressure on De Gea for sure, but I don't believe he would replace him.

exactly, surely it's tightwad Everton who are loving a loan!

Although knowing them they're trying to buy him for £6m or something.

Only money we would save is by not having to pay for his wages.

I would nearly take £6 million for Cleverley at this stage. He only has a year left on his contract and I just want him gone at this stage.

The one club in the Prem I wouldn't have been happy selling Welbeck to would have been Arsenal, because you can see Wenger playing him to his strengths, eventually turning him into a quality forward, similar to how he afforded Ramsey time to develop,
at least 17mill is a reasonable fee.. I suppose.

It was either him or Wilson. I choose Wilson. Much higher potential. Falcao is an added bonus.
Yep, and I don't begrudge him going to Arsenal, I respect the fact that he has to start thinking about his own career. Fair play to the fella, he could have easily sat on the bench and picked up a good wage every month.

God this whole Welbeck shite fecking sucks, it really does. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts banging goals in left and right for Arsenal, he will get chances put on a plate for him there.

Oh and please sort this Falcao nonsense out before the deadline, the amount of shite we will get if that falls through would be too much to take.

take £6 million? Id give the £6 million

Not at all happy at Danny leaving. We should keep upping the price until its £24m + add ons. You can't turn that kind of money down. But £16m to strengthen one of our 3 direct rivals in an area they are crippled in? Madness. Horrible feeling he'll go on to score 20 goals and make us rue the day we sold him. Especially as in 3 years we'll need to replace all our forwards anyway.

Wayne Rooney has thrown his toys of the pram after hearing that Falcao will be earning £346k-a-week.

 I know the 346k part is bollocks but I couldn't help but laugh

Danny will be a huge succes for Arse. He so suited for their style of play, and we'll be seeing a bunch of brig light reeks from him combining with the other forwards.

Do Goalkeepers count?
Course, he'd be a decent buy... he'd also add to our handsome elite in Blind, RVP, Mata, De Gea, Falcao etc.
I can't wait!

I mean er football and boobs

Likewise, we can't expect Danny to wait 3 years, plus we have Wilson.

Convinced Welbeck will do a Sturridge now. Very sad to see him go, very angry it's to Arsenal.

What is that based on?

He's a decent player but not good enough to command a regular place.

Bottom line is you can't pick a player just on case he comes good.

Sturridge is a much better player frankly - he's not just an athlete and has kicked on to a degree very few could have predicted. Most players don't do that and while Welbeck will no doubt do a decent job for Arsenal I'd be surprised if he suddenly fixes the sometimes very evident issues in his game.

In 3 years time he'll be sold to villa after being fed up of being shoved on the left as a backup to wallcott

Great. Welbeck is off and we are left with that tit.

140 games for us and 30 goals? and when he's been been given his chance, he more often than not as fluffed his lines.

Last season: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dann...r/67063/saison/2013/wettbewerb/GB1/verein/985
Spent the first half of the season playing almost exclusively on the left side, then got his chance in December and scored 6 goals and had 2 assists in 7 matches. Got injured and didn't get 90 minutes again until the last day of the season.

Fergie's last year: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dann...r/67063/saison/2012/wettbewerb/GB1/verein/985
Longest chance given as a striker -- 3 games, combined 31 minutes. Shunted wide all season long. Only 1300 minutes all season in 27 games. An average of less than 50 minutes per appearance.

First season: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dann...r/67063/saison/2011/wettbewerb/GB1/verein/985
9 league goals as a 20 year old.

The problem amongst United fans is he's judged as a striker despite playing wide left more often than up front.

Gutted at losing Danny Welbeck hope it falls through and LVG realises how good he is.
