Can we please buy a proper midfielder before this day is done.

If we do, we really should be looking at challenging for the league, let alone 4th spot.

Getting Falcao on loan is a superb piece of business, mind.

Is any of United's strikers injured long term or something? Because I'm really trying to figure out what's so exciting about Falcao who seems unnecessary when the team could do with another CB/CM

RVP needs surgery and it's a loan deal so it's not that bad actually, quite the opposite.

Why is everyone repeating this like its a fact. The report on RvP is extremely weak and backed up by no other paper.

It makes more sense that were signing falcao to replace Hernandez and welbeck.

Incredibly stupid if true. They desperately need a striker and are one of the teams we could take a top 4 spot off, would be pissed if we helped them out.

because Hernandez and Wellbeck started every week?
would we really spend that much on wages for somebody to warm the bench?

This guy is really starting to piss me off.

Shitty are a tupenny hapenny club who should have the same spending power as Leicester City, United have earned everything that we've spent.

He hasn't included the details of what makes up the £242m, suspect that's because it's based on nonsense figures. Plus, as you say, he fails to draw a distinction between a club that has generated its own money and another club that won the lottery.

I've not seen this anywhere except for some iffy sources. I'll wait for actual confirmation. Also the players agent seem to have said it's only a first year loan deal, but we'll see.

To be fair, I don't know the intention of the tweet at all. For me it looks like we got a better group of players for similar kind of money.

Just seen that QPR made a bid for Sandro, surely he would be a suitable midfiled option for us. They want Welbeck on loan, we could make a deal.

So is this real? We signing a striker - world class one at that - for loads of money instead of addressing our midfield and defense issues? Didn't Van Gaal mention the lack of balance to the squad numerous times?

Right, so is Falcao faster than Rooney/Van Persie and can he take defenders on? He did have a mare with injuries recently didn't he.

Any news on the midfielder front???
same feelings here. His arrival would make sense if we are letting RVP/Rooney go.. He is kinda mix of the two and is not any faster. It doesnt matter who ee have upfront if its Henry or Ruud. They will not get on the ball. But some players have better chance to get to it like Welbeck. The lack of movement is horrendous up front, and the balance is nowhere near van Gaal promised us. Maybe we could see rooney play in midfield again. Very disappointed if it means with departure our only pacy nd technical player -Welbeck... He had 20+goals and lots of work for team in him if we played him as a striker... but its not over

We play a two striker system so without welbeck and Hernandez we would be extremely thin upfront.

RvP needing surgery is unlikely. If that was the case it would have been done straight after the WC.

Whatever makes you happy. As you said even if RVP doesnt need a surgery Hernandez is at Madrid and maybe Welbeck will leave too.

I agree with you there...however, people saying we don't need to sign attacking players, why don't we? Rooney cant burst past players like he used to and his touch seems to have deserted him for ages, RVP has been injury prone for all but two years and Mata, well never was the right signing for me. I would just question with Falcao about his recent injury and age and the fact he is a box player predominantly, will we create chances for him presently. Im still concerned about our lack of a real quality centre back and central midfielder but how can people not be excited? For years there has been (and its true) a lot of talk about how we don't sign big foreign players from outside of the premiership. We signed probably the best attacking central midfielder in the world last year in DI Maria and now we have just signed the best striker in the world over the last 3/4 years, massive massive signings.

Could we wrap up the Blind and Falcao deals and buy some more players already? Jeeesus.

This would make sense, Sandro will be quality signing, not one paced defender like Blind.. quite injury prone tho.. They don't need him anyway if we singed him for loan it wouldn't do any bad to us. It would massivelly improve our chances in top 4 race even if it menas that spurs are stronger:-)

Welbeck would score a lot of goals for Arsenal, i'd be so angry if we sold/loaned him to them.

It would be baffling if we gave arsenal what they need.

Doesn't mean people can't assess the relative worth of both squads compared to what was paid.

We've overspent, nothing wrong with people pointing that out. We're all guilty of judging other teams for it.

Selling Danny to Arsenal would be beyond stupid.

If it can allowed us to buy CM we should do it. We are way stronger with a CM than with Welbeck

Obviously, it's hypothetical.
