Links to my point above. In the PL I think he suffered more because he lacked time on the ball which I think he needs more than others such as Alonso or Pirlo.

It's no surprise that in Europe where the games can be slower and more tactical, and in Italy as well, he could work his magic more.

Veron failed more because he is a classic player who probably didn't fit in the PL rather than an actual problem with the team.

Also this Veron "failed" stuff is really annoying. He really wasn't that bad for us.

For what it's worth, I wanted to play him in a three-man midfield when I nominated him. Cambiasso as the holding midfielder, Veron as the deep playmaker, Ballsack as the attacking midfielder, with Figo and Pires providing creativity up front.

Why? It's what I like so much about Schweini, he just adapts and makes the midfield work. Perfect allrounder, who can play every midfield position on a very high level.

I'd be looking at replicating how successful Veron was when paired with Simeone, a similar animal to Keane, for club and country.
