Keane was the unnecessary one if you weren't sure. Was already in the backburner for another 24 hours so you could have waitd out to confirm Verón and see what other players got introduced and at what price levels.

Certainly not true against two strikers. Against one, if the fullbacks can handle the widemen (if any!), it would be quite reasonable. Loads of ifs though.

Actually, you could have done with skipping Keane altogether and having Verón and Jeremies for a combined 46M instead. That would free up your 50Mill for Quasimodo.

I think its decent value - you'd expect to end up paying a slight premium for a proven partnership. Or a massive premium in Annah's case :D

He's got some nice money left he's team will look good.

As for Gattuso & Pirlo, I think they won't be the same without Seedorf, not to mention Kaka, but Kaka can be replaced as there are plenty of quality players in that position left, but not enough CMs

I would say they are equally good. Not much seperates them. If you are talking Keane-Scholes, then it may well be, but I do have a proven partnership here.

Yes, it was a bit inflated as Pol/Theon also had Pirlo central to their team and led to a minor price tussle, Glad to have them though. Infact I was seriously considering giving up Pirlo and gunning for Scholes, but the deadlines did not work out.

I totally disagree! They did just fine without him in WC 2006. As long as Edgar gets another hard-working midfielder in there alongside them they'll be great.

EDIT: I thought he only had 40 million left due to some fecked up accounting error on my part...with 80 million left and only 4 positions to fill he's in a great situation!
