And so WW3 begins...
Gandalf is gearing up the underrated (will never be rated) team of the draft.
Ballack is one of the most underrated around here, but I'd be glad if you can improve his status and sell him properly and change that.What? Why? Please tell me you're pulling my leg there.
Has Ballack has ever been used in his peak position which was close to the AM role?Ballack is one of the most underrated around here, but I'd be glad if you can improve his status and sell him properly and change that.

How can anyone not rate Ballack or Roberto Carlos?
Ballack and Cambiasso are never rated. I had both in last draft, but got no joy. They do their job...but lack any oomph factor in pulling votes. One of those who are neither here not there. Ballakc (niether Am nor CM) and Cambiasso (neither DM nor a CM) thingy.
Think I did that last time in a CAM role, but he did not have imapct either in centre nor in attack.

Don't ask me, I rate him highly.How can anyone not rate Ballack or Roberto Carlos?
It would be even worse than using him as a CM because in these things people look for creativity, vision and that magical spark from number 10s or AMs. Ballack was a different type of AM who relied more on his drive and determination and not technique (Not to say he was technically bad or anything).Has Ballack has ever been used in his peak position which was close to the AM role?

Anyway for me it's not an issue.
I think he should be used in a 3 man midfield either like this

He was a real prospect in 2002 with Fiorentina, with what he was able to manage with Fiorentina, a team that got relegated with only 22 goals scored in 34 matches. At only 19 as well, coming off the awful start at Inter to do what he did? It's amazing. The hype he got after his début against Chievo was incredible.I don't agree that his peak was as extended as you are trying to make it out to be.
Take this tip for this and any future drafts. Just stay away from anyone remotely associated with Chelsea in recent years. We have enough managers here who have learnt that lesson the hard way.Him, too? Damn.
Yeah pretty much. But still for some reason he doesn't seem to be a "fantasy" player like a lot are in these things. If I'm going into a real game I'd love to have a player like Ballack in the team knowing how effective he can be in multiple roles, but in a competition based on pleasing an audience, not so much. But as I said I would love to see him get proper respect in a draft which he deserves.I think he should be used in a 3 man midfield either like this

Also there's the button that says "view unread posts" or something that pops up just above the quick reply box while you are typing, which is useful.Edgar, for someone who's moaning about the availability of players, you've sure been bidding a lot!
Oh and a useful tip is to just refresh the page before posting your list. That way you can update it if any bids came while you were typing.
Still one managerial vacancy
@Thisistheone
@KM
@Balu
@Gio
@Brwned
Just to reiterate, Anto did not break any rule nor he was kicked out for bidding over budget, it is simply because he was never keen in the first place and his unfortunate tendency to be involved in polemics was disrupting the game (happened in the auction draft, happened in this thread). So again, not entirely his fa -ult, not totally fair to him that he took the fall but the game is running smoothly now. If no one takes up the last managerial vacancy, maybe Theon can fill it (I floated the suggestion to him in a PM just now, we will see if he takes it up after he wakes up. This is a last resort as I would not want to lose an AM like him, the loss to my team will definitely be felt)
Yeah remember doing something like that in the newbies once. I was the "best loser", and lost by a close margin in the second attempt as well.If we can't get a 16th manager we can go with 15 with following -
14 managers play 7 knockouts
The team with the closest losing margin gets a second chance against the 15th team for the 8th team for QFs. (If multiple teams have tie for closes losing margin then straw poll among remaining managers as to who gets a second chance)
Simples
