Transfer Deadline Day

seeing those Arsenal fans makes me feel bad that we didn't score 15 against them! what a set of Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime!!!

Everybody else's transfers were not as exciting as our non-transfers.

2312: DONE DEAL Yep, here is one of the day's BIG, last-ditch deals. Chelsea have confirmed that 28-year-old Portugal international Raul Meireles has joined the club from Liverpool on a four-year deal. The fee is believed to be in the region of £12m.

What a shit window for Spurs.
Not really:

* Modric stays
* Parker is an upgrade on Palacios
* Adebayor is an upgrade on Crouch
* Walker returns from loan with valuable Prem experience
* Friedel adds depth to the GK options
* Two promising young striker prospects signed: Coulibaly and Ceballos
* A large amount of dead wood shifted off the wage bill
* Several good young prospects loaned out to further their experience, most notably Caulker to Swansea.
* Dos Santos returns and gets a 2nd chance
* Net transfer profit

Overall, we now have a better squad than before the summer ... not dramatically so, but still better IMO.

Meireles will be a very good signing for Chelsea. Have Everton signed anyone?

The Modric consolation prize ...

How did that Meireles deal happen so quick? He must surely have been tapped up prior to submitting a transfer request

Susceptible to shoulder barges and pulling out of 50/50, heck even 70/30 in his favour, challenges. Collarbone injury to keep him out for a few weeks anyway.

One bench to another.

I actually agree, just fecking play Sandro though.

Arteta and Benayoun's setting the bar low but Meireles is really scraping the barrel.

Chelsea should have been spending money on a proper right winger.
