Transfer Deadline Day

I hate this transfernewscen on Twitter @ times, but here we go for more 'unknown' players having a medical for United:

Transfer Central
Rumours are that Manchester United have a player ready for medical,so there would be one more addition to the squad. -S.

Has Hargreaves signed for Citeh yet... Maybe we're reconsidering :nervous:

crap transfer deadline day, can't match the berbatov or torres excitement.

Getting first reports of a potential surprise move for Leverkusen playmaker Renato Augusto, who according to a source is on his way to London for a medical. No indications which team he’s going to, although a with a price tag of €15-20m, would discount Fulham/QPR. Can play on the right or through the middle, silky skills and great ball retention, would suit Arsenal’s style perfectly or perhaps a Modric alternative for Spurs/Chelsea? If I had to choose one it seems like a typical Wenger signing.

Source: Telegraph

EDIT: Confirmation from a Leverkusen source that the London club attempting to sign Renato Augusto IS Arsenal – a deal is far from agreed at the moment, with Arsenal’s opening bid far short of Leverkusen’s valuation of around €20m. Augusto, however, is keen on a move to the Premier League, and he flew into Heathrow about half and hour ago to go for a medical, in the hope that a transfer can be agreed by the deadline. Looks like this one will go down to the wire…

Now there's a marquee deadline day deal!

Yes, we got his first medical spot on! Time to give the medical team another shot

I love how on SSN they are all "our sources from Spurs have given us a list of all the transfer dealings going on".

They are clearly get all their info directly from 'Arry...

He needed a meeting to find out whether he's free to go? They've been forcing him out for like two straight years at least.

Er, no. Drenthe needed to get a free transfer (to fund a signing on bonus), a payment from Madrid to protect his after tax earnings for the final year of his contract and a loyalty bonus before he left.

It could be a good move for him and Everton. He started to look like a decent player during his loan to Hercules, before he lost the plot. A fresh start might help.

Looks like Sneijder has wummed us all

OK and last from M16_0RA:

This phone is getting fizzed across fecking london in a min! Ws not dead but looking v unlikely until INTER sign another player

No idea if they will manage this but if they do, it'll effectively take seconds for WS deal to be agreed

Leaving my office in precisely 9 minutes none the wiser. Have to say as things stand I can't see WS happening, something is though

A lot of mention to us having a medical planned now, but by the sound of it, it's not guaranteed to be Sneijder.

This day is needing some Jim White to add a bit of excitement

Dull as shit so far

Someone just told me it's Cheick Tiote. I called him full of shit.

Fat Yak is off to Blackburn where he'll work really hard, act like he gives a shit and not fade away after a few weeks.

That's twitter trash isn't it?

Twitter trash, but the more reliable trash than most on there. We'll just have to see.

Tiote was rumoured this morning for £14M, I don't think he'd be a bad signing at all, decent combative midfielder that we could do with. But whether that's true or not who knows.

Gago's expected to sign a loan deal with Roma, really soon - apparently the transfer deadline is 19:00 (not midnight) in Italy :smirk:

We are going to re-sign Hargreaves and curly hair will be back in fashion again
Sadly not.....and worse for United fans:

There's news breaking that City have signed our tea lady on a five year, five figure contract, and she has been quoted as saying she always preferred them to us :(

As @DickinsonTimes just said, Mikel Arteta to Arsenal is looking very likely. Arsenal have bid £10m. Everton haggling

Arteta for 10m would be a decent buy for me. His wages wouldn't be astronomical either.
