With Colgne reportedly wanting to keep him what says the Caf?

He did well in his spell over there, I personaly would like us to keep him for atleast one more season, I mean, weve hardly given him a chance...

With his contract ticking down, I doubt we'd send him out on loan again. Koln (sp?) certainly can't afford to buy him. So it'll be interesting to see what SAF decides to do.

he'll be going

hopefully he does ok at the world cup and who knows - maybe 5-10 million

he obviously isn't united material - fergie hasn't fancied him at all

we paid 3.5 million euro i think so we should make that back at the very least

If he was good enough SAF would've given him a chance in the league cup atleast. I think he'll go. Especially now that we have to cut the squad to 25 I can't see room for him.

Don't understand this signing. Bought for 6 or 7 million (when we have financial problems galore), hardly given a chance.

WHY?

Same here. Not convinced he does have a future here, but would like to see him given a chance to compete with Obertan as a back-up winger. Plus I'd love to have someone in the squad who can deliver a fecking dead ball

So he's not good enough for even League cup football?

He needs to leave for his career, he has shown what he can do when given minutes. I think another team in the Bundesliga will pick him up, he could have a part to play for Serbia in the WC too.

It's inexplicable. Buy someone for good money, when you have financial problems, but write him off after about three substitute performances of 10-20 minutes.

Why loan a player out, have him by all accounts excel at his loan club, only to sell him. If he's done good, he needs to come back to OT, unless of course he isn't willing to compete, in which case its time to move on.

He should be mindful of the fact that in FM he turns out to be a decent player

I would like SAF to come out and be honest with the fans over what Tosic's position is at the club etc, i think it is an issue that needs clarifying. At the moment SAF just looks stupid, spending money on a player, and not giving him any sort of chance (when has had good games for the reserves etc)

What difference does it make to you what Tosic's position is at the club?

Its a fair question. I for one want to know what SAF really thinks, does he seriously think that Tosic isn't even worthy of minutes in the League Cup for example?

Doesn't the fact that he's not given Tosic more chances speaks volumes of what Sir Alex thinks about him?

I'd want him to say why he doesn't think he's good enough. If its simply 'the lad wasn't strong enough' then fair enough because I don't see how inferior he could be to some other players who got more chances than him.

It doesn't even feel like he's ever played for us. I'm really not fussed if he leaves, would make no difference.

I really don't think it is the "strong enough" thing. Because clearly we knew about his physic before we signed him. His signing and lack of matches is just plain puzzling. One can only think he has a poor work ethic or a bad attitude in training and Fergie never really talks about such things so I wouldn't hold your breath for an answer.

But WHY do you want him to say it?

For a start, whatever reason he gives, potential buyers will use it against United when trying to buy him.

SAF does not need to explain himself or even tell the truth - as long as the decisions he makes are sound then there is no reason to complain.

If Tosic leaves and does a 'Forlan' on us then sure there is reason for complaint but until something like that transpires we will never know.

So if Tosic leaves, succeeds in another league and we go on and win everything there is to win, you'd complain?

But surely you must be interested as to why he was signed in the first place? if he is sold on its quite a bizarre signing imo.

I can only gather that he was signed because Sir Alex saw something that he liked, but after having a closer look at him over time in Manchester, he's got no faith in him making it at OT.

As simple as that. I need no further explanation.

I thought it was prety clear the initial reason for buying was Tosic was to help get Lijajc over here....though we all know how that turned out.

Tošić has done everything but show he's not good enough to at least play some games for us, which makes the whole situation a little bizarre.

I'd like to think he'll get one more chance here but I don't think it will happen sadly. If the World Cup raises his price and we get a nice bid I'd imagine he's off.

Yeah fair enough, but dont you think it odd that we can scout someone enough to pay millions and then so suddenly decide hes not good enough? Obviously if SAF et all think hes not good enough then thats that.

If it is lack of ability, I'd put it down to bad ground work before the signing.

If it lack of application, then it's no one to blame but the player.

stay. i think he will surprise a few. if he wasn't already our player,we probably would have had people talking about him, in same way as they would talk about someone like Marin

Stay. Haven't seem him being a bad player. Obertan or Gibson don't look better than him. They get chances. We don't have many options out left and no good set pieces taker. Let him show his worth.

Don't know what else he could of done while on loan. Score plenty, assisted a few, and won over Koln's supporters. If he doesn't get a shot here it's because we're bringing in someone better but I think he deserves to have a go at OT.
