Matt LeBlanc was one of the worst 'star in the reasonably priced car' interviews. Can't see this going well.
The real problem is Chris Evans. Can't stand him.
No chance of Coulthard doing it , not with him presenting C4's F1 coverage.Yeah. I didn't know Chris Harris, but after being turned onto him by folks here, I've fell in love. Him, Le Blanc, Sabine & Coulthard would be a good enough lineup for me.
Evans? Bah, no.

I'll give this a go, but everything about this new Top Gear feels safe and watered down, I can see it becoming the next Fifth Gear.
Seems like an apt observation, can definitely see the show being more obnoxiously 'PC' now.
I still feel like the show has enough good behind the scenes people (writers etc) to put something good together. As a viewer I reckon we will end up winning now having two pretty good shows instead of one, I'd be surprised if Top Gear became simply unwatchable.

How's people just catching this? It was mentioned on telly here in the states last weekend.
I think the two new car shows are going to be at completely opposite ends of the spectrum. BBC Top Gear will be PC heavy, rather boring, safe and only do serious tests and reviews. Meanwhile Amazon Top Gear will be hovercraft episode x50 with how scripted and silly it'll be.
Neither will be too enjoyable, but purely due to the hosts the Amazon version will be better.
Matt LeBlandMatt Le Blanc is so bland. The new Top Gear is going to be so shit.
There's talk of Eddie Jordan being announced as a presenter.

so do I.I like Eddie Jordan
One does not simply like Eddie Jordan. I like DC though.
Obviously trying to cover the quirky James May character. Guess Matt le blanc will be the Hammond. They're both alright for F1 coverage, but Top Gear? Eh...
He said on his podcast this week to Phil Collins that the Morris Minor is a pure classic car. While that might be true for some people that isnt going to fly with Top Gear fans. For me this is enough of a reason to not let him do the show. The real problem is Chris Evans. Can't stand him.
Any ideas when this and the Amazon series are starting? Surely they won't compete with each other?

"So Phil, enough about you let's talk about me"The Minor was, is and always will be a pile of shite. The fact that it's old, and that fact alone, makes it a 'classic'.
And why would he be discussing it with Phil Collins?
Phil Collins was on his morning radio show. Its just a podcast I listen to. Talking some shite about being car enthusiasts and the Minor being a classic, they both have one or something. The Minor was, is and always will be a pile of shite. Top Gear starts in May, the Amazon one is set to start some time in the autumn I think, so the first series will be over before the other one starts.Any ideas when this and the Amazon series are starting? Surely they won't compete with each other?
It sounds like they are going to go back to something similar to the older style of Top Gear. Chris Evans as the main guy then a revolving door of other presenters, doing different segments or reviews.
