Top class established Strikers in the market

Ah ok, I just remember him being heavily linked to us around the time he went to Bayern. If I remember correctly his National coach even said he was coming to us.
He was heavily linked with us during Euro 2012, thats when his coach came out with the comments.

He went to Bayern over 2 years later..

If Villa gets relegated then Benteke could be had for a cutthroat rate. He's been poor this year but he was recovering from a torn Achillies tendon. Plus his ceiling is unknown because he's only had service from Villa.

He's much better risk at say 15-20 than many of the others at 30+.

We could have Gerd Muller upfront and he wouldn't look anything special.

He'd still get 35 goals a season though.

And just no to Benteke, can we go for someone a bit special this time?

Strikers only last 18 months in the Premier League these days.

Michu
Demba Ba
Podolski
Rodriguez
Lukaku
Benteke

Lambert
Hernandez
Odemwingie

I think the game has moved on and when you lose that sharpness you are done, unless you reinvent yourself as a defensive midfielder. Sheringham wouldnt have lasted as long he did these days. Owen couldn't reproduce it. Berbatov, RVP, Mata, Torres. You need to stay fit and sharp and quick

These two will have great careers in the PL, provided they hang about.

Lacazette's stats this season are amazing. I wonder if its a one off or if he can establish himself in one of the top leagues at a top club.

I watched his scouting report (goals compilation) on youtube (yes I know that's no serious way to build an opinion upon) and was a bit disapointed. The first 4 goals are rdicolous defendig, he nvered scored them in the BPL. Almost every time he is given a hell lot of time on the ball.

Seems to have good pace and finishing, reminds me of Chicharito a bit....

I have not seen anything special in this video an usually any crap player loks like a hero on youtube ;-)

looked up his previous goal record, last season 15 goals + 5 assists which is good. The one before 3 goals 9 assists isn't also bad for a then 21 year old. Had his breakthrough season 11/12 with 5 goals 5 assists.

was never injured until this january for a month with a muscle problem.

This is the striker we should be going for, i'm just happy Liverpool didn't get him in the Summer. He is utter quality, every game he is a threat.

He'd be my second choice behind Dybala, he's blisteringly quick, strong on the ball and has good decision making when he gets into the final 3rd. I think he could play anywhere across the front 3 if we went with a 4-3-3.

I may be biased because he's Serbian, but given the level of play he's showing this season, I think United should monitor Aleksandar Mitrovic closely. Could also prove to be good to partner up with Wilson, given their skills.

I still have reservations about Lacazette, maybe I will be proven wrong but get a feeling he could turn out to be another flash in the pan.

Must admit its a tough decision for Van Gaal in who to get for next season as there isn't a lot of stand out choices, we need pace though that's for sure.

Never seen him play but I ALWAYS sign him on fm :)

He's tall and physical, but given how he is built he can be pacey. He can score with head and feet. His greatest problem when he was younger was his temperament. He can get sent off occasionally, for stupid things. I had doubts when he was younger, cause so many great Serbian / Balkan talents got carried away and wasted their potential in the last two decades. But he seems to have made a great choice in choosing to go to Anderlecht where he become more and more influential. He improved his work rate, and can also assist when needed, but goal scoring is his main asset. He still gets much yellow and red cards and can sometimes play dirty, but he has the potential to become a very lethal world class finisher. And he would fit well with Wilson who is quicker and more pacey. He needs more experience, wouldn't be a starter next to Rooney now, but has the potential to do it. He needs to improve a bit his decision making and sort out his temperament. He played a great game against Arsenal in the champions league in autumn of 2014 and he's slowly becoming much more influential in big games. Anderlecht broke their transfer record when they signed him.
