Other than JT, which other "aging" players do we have in the back four? Ivanovic won't be a starter.

Cahill will turn 31 in December. You say Ivanovic won't be a starter, but he's the current vice-captain and made 43 appearances last season, 33 in the league.

I don't consider 30/31 aging for a CB.

When we sign a new CB I don't think any of Cahill, Ivanovic, or Terry will start the majority of matches. Zouma & Koulibaly (if we sign him) are both very young and extremely athletic.

I don't think our defense will be a huge weakness like it was last season. Not under this manager. Not with Kante and potentially Matic shielding them.

1) city/United - city will putt out all stops to win the title, expect them to spend £200m+ but United with a similar spend and Jose wanting to once again prove himself might just beat city to the title.
2) United/city - As said, too close to call.
3) Chelsea - Comfortable third I expect. Conte is pretty much cut from the same cloth as guardiola and Mourinho. Also, Chelsea will be spending close to £150m.
4) arsenal - :D
5) liverpool - klopp will do his thing. They will spend £100m+ to get good players too but they will get injured due to kolpp's tactics.
6) Everton/Spurs/West Ham - Although West Ham and spurs will be favourites to round up the top 6 but I think Everton with Koeman + all the new money will surprise everyone.

Biggest myth in football. We were shite without Euro football and Spurs were quality with it. It's insignificant if you have a strong squad and good manager.
What BS. Is is never insignificant to be traveling all over Europe, playing extra games and accruing extra injuries, possibly to key players. Just because United had a poor season and Spurs gave up on the EL doesn't prove anything.

I may well change this before the transfer window closes, but right now:

1. Arsenal (settled squad and manager + unlikely to be a Leicester City miracle this time around)
2. City (new manager will take time adjust + lots of squad changes will take time to gel, but many talented players)
3. Tottenham (settled squad and manager, several young first XI players who will likely improve further, better squad depth than last season)
4. Liverpool (Klopp has now has benefit of a pre-season and full season as coach + No burden of European games)
5. United (the circus will cause too many distractions, long EL trips in prospect, likely to be lots of squad changes which will take time to gel)
6. Chelski (will improve from last season, but too many ageing players in back four and new manager will take time to adjust; on flip side no burden of European games)

Would Pogba change the order for you? And Arsenal to win it!!! I'd love to see you put money on that.

1. Tottenham
2. United
3. City
4. Arsenal
5. Chelsea
6. Leicester

1. United
2. Chelsea
3. City
4. Leicester
5. Arsenal
6. West Ham

That's what makes the Premier League so great and better than anything else. So many top teams vying for top spots and it's only going to get harder. There's going to be some big shocks and disappointments on the way.

this except spurs and liverpool to finish 5th/6th (one or the other)

current champions leicester to finish around 8-10th. it's still successful for their standards, as their title win was a huge freak show.

I don't know why so many people are picking Arsenal. They had their chance in years last season and still couldn't capitalize. Only made 1 signing and it's still Arsenal.

It's early for me, but assuming Pogba is signed.

1. Manchester United
2. Manchester City
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal
5. Tottenham
6. Liverpool

1. United
2. City
3. Chelsea
4. Spurs
5.Arsenal
6. Liverpool

If we do not sign Pogba, drop us to third.

Amazing how many people can't count to 6.

1. United
2. City
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
5. Chelsea
6. Spurs

1. City
2. Arsenal
3. United
4. Chelsea/Spurs
5. Chelsea/Spurs
6. Leicester

1. Man City
2. Arsenal
3. Man Utd
4. Tottenham
5. Liverpool
6. Chelsea

I have no.idea whatsoever. You can bet Arsenal finishes 3rd/4th and thats about it. Anything beyond that is pure speculation. IMHO with so many new managers in top 6-8 clubs, with drastic changes in terms of playing personnel its impossible to predict anything before matchday #10. And yes i know its a quarter of the season gone.

@GlastonSpur

Time for radical meassures ;)
Personally as a Spurs supporter I think it's good.

We seem to do our best work when we fly under the radar and stay out of the spotlight. If opposing fans keep us out of consideration or underrate us I think it bodes well as oftentimes players also mirror their fan bases and I wouldn't mind teams coming into games thinking we're nothing to worry about.

United
City
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
Spurs

1. United
2. City
3. Spurs
4. Arsenal
5. Chelsea
6. Southampton

I'm not making any predictions. With all the manegerial changes is too difficult to call. I just hope United are there or there abouts come May!

Big advantage for United Sunny Jim is Jose knows the league inside out. Pep's CV is outstanding but there still is question marks on him for me. If he does well at City then a lot of them will be answered. Conte is more unknown but Chelsea have probably the strongest squad right now. Wenger has a potentially top team but they still need a top class forward, centre half and centre mid of steel. Must be frustrating being a Gooner when they are so close. I am really excited about our signings (plus potentially Pogba who although is worth nowhere near £100m we need as we lack big game players which scare teams, think Eric, Giggs, Becks, Scholes, Keane, RVP the list of match winners was endless) and the fact the improvements Jose can bring about to say Depay, Darmain and Morgan. Rojo I think he is just poor from what I have seen. But roll on next season so glad Jose is our manager!
(Forgot to say Spurs will drop down to 5-6 and Leicester will finish mid table and Klopp will find it hard without better quality of players albeit I really rate Mane.

You can be terrible anyway and not have European football. We were just terrible.

I do think having no distractions will help Chelsea and Liverpool, unfortunately.

As for predictions,

1)United
2)Liverpool
3)Chelsea
4)City
5)Arsenal
6)Spurs

Surprising how many people feel Chelsea will be in top 2. Sure, they don't have European football to look forward to, but Conte will have to either (a) make radical changes to make them play 3-5-2 or (b) Play a system he has never played for atleast 4 years iirc.
Either way, their defence isn't good enough- it's only Azpi who is good, others are arguably worse than even our defenders.
Their midfield lacks competition and both Matic and Fabre are inconsistent, there are lack of options even for 3 attacking Mids, and Oscar is another average player

Would Pogba change the order for you? And Arsenal to win it!!! I'd love to see you put money on that.

Add in Pogba and it becomes a toss-up between you and Liverpool for 4th. He'll improve your midfield, but will have nothing like the impact that many United fans are imagining.

The people who genuinely believe Arsenal or Tottenham will win the league should seek medical advice right away!

1. City
2. Chelsea
3. United
4. Arsenal
5. Liverpool
6. Tottenham

Kante will massively help them defensively if he signs as what's being reported.

Let's not forget Chelsea won the league two seasons ago quite easily, have a good starting 11 and decent squad that will possibly get added to. Conte will improve the likes of Matic, Pedro, Fabregas etc. Oscar is better than average.

Courtois
Zouma Terry Cahill
Ivanovic Kante Matic Fabregas Azi
Hazard
Costa
Could do something like that and still have the likes of Oscar, Willian, Pedro, Batshuayi, Begovic in reserve without taking into account any other signings.

I am assuming we are getting Pogba and City Sane. Doesn't look like Arsenal will get Higuain. I think we have a good chance and it could be a close call between us and City. Our transfer dealings so far have been really exciting and in difference to Pep and Conte Jose knows the league and for me his is the type of manager who will make us good faster than the other 2 with possibly new formation and a complete new style. Jose is more about mentality and he will keep it simple with good organization and effective counter-style. Chelsea had a freak-season last year, they are better and will be under Conte, but he probably needs time to adapt. Arsenal is Arsenal, they are settled, but will find a way to bottle it, maybe 3rd, but don't expect them higher. Pool is difficult to judge, Klopp is good and I expect them to improve further, but on paper they don't look that great and the other 4 have just more quality (with the expected transfers), but if one of the "Big 4" struggles or needs more time to adapt than expected they will be in Top4 and can maybe push for 3rd. I don't expect great things from Tottenham to be honest, they looked shot at the end of the season, mentality isn't that exciting and I expect more incosistency and injuries from their youngsters and players, so I don't think they will be anywhere near the title and will just challenge around 4th and miss out on CL, they missed their chance last year and looked better than they really were imo.

The new top managers will make sure that this years table won't look that surprising and the "new challengers" like Leicester or West Ham will be behind.

I don't get this ''Jose knows the league'' that seems to be getting thrown around a lot. What happened last season then, did he have amnesia for a few months? Didn't Pellegrini win the title in his first season at City?

How many times have the league been won by a team without European football, last year definitely wasn't standard process.

His typical long-term problems, I don't expect a lot in the 3rd, 4th season, but the first 2 seasons are usually fine. Yeah he did like Jose and Ancelotti, that's why I think Pep and Conte will be upthere even if teams like Arsenal, Pool or Spurs are "settled".

1 City
2 United
3 Chelsea
4 Arsenal
5 Liverpool
6 Spurs

Too soon for me. That said,

City
Arse
United
Spurs
Chelsea
West Ham

If Liverpool strengthen they'll be competing for 3-6, but not that impressed with their additions so far. Everton could do well this year. Chelsea should be in the top four, just have an odd feeling about them.
