Liverpool have made some decent signings in Karius Matip Mane and Wijnaldum and with no europe and klopp as manager i can see a big challenge.

My top 4

Dippers
City
United
Arsenal or Chelsea

I think spurs will struggle this year with champions league commitments

City
Liverpool
Utd
Arsenal/Chelsea/Spurs

But let's face it, it's going to be mega and anything could happen.

Spurs have had European commitments for many years, why should this season be different?

How can you be sure?? I suggest you don't bet the farm on it, I suspect the competition will be ferocious from 6 or 7 teams. Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea all have squad overhauls to do and new managers to instil their ways and methods. I wouldn't be at all surprised if all three have slow starts even if they come strong in the second half, but it may be too late by then to make a challenge for the top places. It's all very much in the air and nobody can be "sure" of anything. It wouldn't surprise me if in the first half of the season, the top 4 places are filled by teams such as Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham, Liverpool, Southampton, Everton, not in any particular order but all those teams could be challenging for the top 4 places. Maybe even Leicester will be back up there too !!
If you look at the opening 10 fixtures I don't see any major obstacles for City or Arsenal, bar maybe a blip or two, and I'd expect to see them right up there. On the other hand Liverpool will play their first 3 games away from home (due to the new stand not being quite ready) and 4 of the 'fancied' teams in the first 5 games, United don't have it too bad with roughly a 50/50 split over 10 games. I can see West Ham (who only play 2 of the 'toughest' teams in their first 10 games), City (3), Spurs (3) and Arsenal (4) topping the table after 10 games.

Not even being biased, I genuinely believe United are gonna win the league this season. And by a good margin too.

1. Man Utd
2. Man City
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal
5. Leicester
6. Spurs.

United will win the league by 8 points. Top 4 will be a late race between Arsenal/Leicester/Spurs but Arsenal will nick it.

1. Arsenal - no confidence in this selection but they look the best of the bunch to me. Of course they may find a way to throw it away.
2. Liv - I can see Klopp's pressing working well without european football
3. Man City - might take a while for Guardiola to adjust to the PL
4. Spurs - young, hardworking team, though CL likely to cost them a few points
5. Man United - not remotely convinced by Rooney + Zlatan, overall too many egos, not enough energy
6. Leicester - Kante a big loss and additional CL fixtures but still a decent side

(though to be honest, I haven't got a clue. None of the teams are totally convincing. Think United might struggle due to Rooney + Zlatan. Chelsea could be anything. I don't even know how Conte intends to structure his team)

I will eat a shoe if that happens.

Also, what do you mean due to Rooney + Zlatan?

I think its pretty much nailed on that the top 6 are going to be (in alphabetical order) Arsenal,Chelsea,Liverpool,Manchester City,Manchester United and Tottenham.
But its very open as to who will actually win it.....could be any of these 6.
City have the best squad and Guardiola but he's untested in the Premiership, same with Conte at Chelsea.
Leicester....I have a feeling they will do well to make the top half this time around but I hope they have a good run in the Champions League.
Everton....norfolkandchance,same with Southampton.

I don't believe it to be a match winning combination at PL level. And crucially, from the Mourinho's recent comments, it doesn't sound to me like an idea that he is going to abandon in the near future. If I had any confidence in him giving Rashford tons of playing time in PL matches then I'd rate United higher. Similarly, I don't expect Mkhitaryan to be a success in his first season in the PL. Personally, I'd feel more optimistic with Januzaj in the team.

Fair enough.

I'm not a fan of the partnership either, but I hope Mourinho scuppers it soon.

1. United (just to be optimistic)
2. City (expect there to be a decent gap to everyone else after us two)
3. Arsenal
4. Leicester
5. Tottenham
6. West Ham

Think Chelsea are far more likely to have another mutiny and have to replace their manager than to bounce straight back,
Liverpool will probably be in the mix for fourth but think others have better squads basically

There's a strong argument for Arsenal on the basis they have the most settled squad and manager, while most of their main rivals have a new manager and key new signings to bed in. And Tottenham always finish below them.

The case against Arsenal is that settled squad and manager have underachieved for years, and they don't look much stronger than they did last season.

We'll be back in the top four this season, but I think we may have to wait another year to get our title back. Mourinho usually takes a year to finish building his team at any new club before going on to win the domestic league title.

I'll predict:

1st. Man City
2nd. Arsenal
3rd. United
4th. Chelsea
5th. Tottenham
6th. Liverpool

The way things have gone, I have changed my mind.

1. City
2. Arsenal
3. Liverpool
4. Chelsea
5. United
6. Spurs

What's made you think United won't get top four? I think you're pretty likely to end up close to the top.

I know it was just a friendly but we still look bad up front. I just feel that we will struggle to score.
All this hype about the players we've bought is too much. I think it will take a few more years to really challenge.
Your lot look better.

We'll see what happens when the real football starts. I think we're lacking the quality that some of our rivals have but maybe no European football will be a factor in our favour.

I'd still back United and City to finish top two as things stand.

1. Man City - Defence doesn't look great but their front line is ridiculus
2. Arsenal - Will grab second in the last few weeks of the season - won't make a sustained challenge
3. Man United - Will keep up with City for large parts of the season
4. Spurs - Like the look of their settled squad - great manager
5. Chelsa - Will struggle for goals - couple of injuries could ruin their season
6. Liverpool- Will impress later towards the season - will struggle against any team with a target man who can hold the ball up

1. United
2. Arsenal
3. City
4. Chelsea
5. Spurs
6. West Ham

Liverpool, Everton, Leicester, Southampton the next 4, random order.

The vast majority on here I see are dismissing Leicester to finish even in the top 6 this season. They don't appear to me as if they're just going to sink into oblivion. They're not going away easily.

Marukomu is the man! He's always been an insightful poster but this prediction was spot on.
