Yup! Its just that thats the highly unlikely scenario imo.
That would be funny. Can't see Liverpool beat Chelsea though.

Plenty of reasons why Liverpool can beat the. A, they are better as reflected by the league. Motivation wise, its trophy day for them, unbeaten home record, they won't lose back to back games, etc. I'd be surprised if Chelsea pulls off an upset. That would be funny. Can't see Liverpool beat Chelsea though.
I mean, that kinda does show that they switched off massively. They usually don't do cheap gifts like those. And their finishing was also off which can also be down to a lack of focus. There loss yesterday was a bit of a freak. Arsenal only had 3 shots...and Liverpool basically gave them their two goals.
Nah they dont. One minute they were definitely beating us because of the home record, then they were definitely beating us because of the pts record and now that is not achievable, they are beating us because they lift the trophy same day.Personally don't see it. Best for us would probably be a hard faught draw. Liverpool have a lot riding on it on the day to not be at their best and I doubt our feeble defence can handle that.
And even if we somehow managed a win I doubt it'll be Liverpool rolling over to feck United. They just don't care.
I think they can beat you because they're a significantly better team.Nah they dont. Fact is, Liverpool's foot is off the gas and they are in fact one of the sides already on the beach. All games are dead rubbers for them, every single one since they were crowned. They do not give a shit if they lose to us.
They lift the trophy yes, but its not the same to an empty stadium, the parade will mean more and thats where the real celebration will be. Now if the grounds werent empty and they lifted it, i'd see your point
they are, but there is every chance we dont lose that game, too. In the same way City were also going to wipe the floor with us. Liverpool have been way off it since the restart, they couldnt care less. First title in 30 yrs sewn up, as if losing a few dead rubbers bothers themI think they can beat you because they're a significantly better team.

fair point, how many sides since the restart has their 11 shit over and they've lost, or really struggled. Its what happens on the day, and there is zero guarantees either of us lose. Absolutely none. They are beating you because they shit all over your team. That was always the case. Everything else was just white noise.

I actually think it's good they lost a couple of games now because Klopp will be coming down on them hard - they'll be well up for the game vs Chelsea for a few reasons (lifting the trophy, home undefeated record and now having Klopp breathing down their necks after the recent lapse in concentration. They also play a style which usually does well versus the possession heavy teams - I can see them hammering Chelsea. That would be funny. Can't see Liverpool beat Chelsea though.
After all these years and our CL hope will rest on Moyes and Mourinhos shoulders next week.
Not really, we win all remaining games and we're in - simple as that.
Love your optimismZaha, the prick, will kill off our hopes tonight.

I can hardly hear it eitherI mean the over the top “your team is shit” coming from some United fans makes it quiet hard to have the civil discourse other United fans want. You'd think there are 12 games in a season not 38.
Need a big helping hand from Sheffield United
They will beat Chelsea. This is the biggest PL event that they've been dreaming about for 30 fecking years. Not that I think Chelsea won't lose, but it is kind of funny to watch people shoehorn whatever narrative they need to remain fully convinced Liverpool will win the game.
Klopp will come down on them hard, so it's a good thing they lost to Arsenal, this is why they'll beat Chelsea. If Liverpool had won 3-0 last night, it's great that they've shaken off the post-title win rust, this is why they'll beat Chelsea.
Well, that's just nonsense, for a start we still gained a point on them both with the Southampton game. Secondly, Chelsea is very capable of losing to Liverpool, Wolves, or both in which case Utd should overtake them if we win our games. I stand by what I've always said, Utd needs to do the job and win the next 3 games as then we will finish 3rd.
Yes, but now all Chelsea need is a win in one of their two games and they are in the top 4 - regardless of our results. Won't put it past them to do that. So the other spot is between us and Leicester.
In fact even if United and Leicester win both their games, and draw the final one - Chelsea will go through with one win/ one loss.
I will be really surprised if Chelsea drop out of CL spots from here.

If i were a Chelsea fan I would hate seeing Arsenal fluke it last night
I don't know about United, but it is inconceivable that Leicester win both their fixtures.Okay guys. Here's a scenario.
We win our next 2 games and so do Leicester. Which means both of us would be at 65 points. Assuming Chelsea lose at Liverpool, they will be at 63 points.
Considering that both ours and Leicester's GD is quite superior to Chelsea, a draw would most certainly do it.
Shades of 'Disgrace of Gijon' from the 82' World Cup or both teams go for it?
United Blackburn final 20 mins 2010/11 where a draw won us the league and put them clear in the relegation scrap. We were just knocking it about the back last 20 minutes.Okay guys. Here's a scenario.

All teams play at same time, so no one knows what Chelsea result will be.

Wouldn't matter so long as Chelsea lose to the Dippers. Goal difference would win the day as long as Chelsea do not win 14 - 0 or something crazy
Chelsea, even with a win, would have to cover a GD difference of 10-12. Don't think they'll win 10-0.
Wilder's tricky Blades have been doing us favors left and right, if they beat Leicester today they're officially my second favorite club in the league.
agree, pointless turning up v liverpool and wolves looks likeI mean the over the top “your team is shit” coming from some United fans makes it quiet hard to have the civil discourse other United fans want. You'd think there are 12 games in a season not 38.
Exactly. Since the restart, they've beaten Spurs, Wolves and Chelsea. If they even draw today, they'll forever be my second side.
