Heard rave reviews about this lad.

Some people even suggesting "he has the potential to be better than Ribery"

Whats the low down on this gentleman

now, where did you get that from? :D

i'll tell you what i think of him. he's an attacking midfielder like Zidane, a true playmaker, technical, good shots, can win a game on his own. unfortunate to be at Bayern where you're not allowed to make any mistakes. loaned to Leverkusen (who are nicknamed mini-Barca due to their playing style) until 2010. i believe this guy alongside Marko Marin and Mesut Özil, is the future of German Football. could be a great player IMO

Ooh I just heard it on the grapevine mate

Was seriously wondering about him though because as stupid as it sounds, I was looking at him a bit ago on fifa 09 and looked a good prospect at 19 years old.

he's good, i really believe he's the next zidane. i heard his younger Brother also has huge potential.

Looks like the lovechild of Phillip Cocu and Luke Chadwick

Fantastic, fantastic player!! Really looking forward to seeing him progress and hope he makes a bigger move to a club that can really utilize his potential and not ruin a career like Podolski (albeit he's still young enough to flip it around..)...

Firstly, is an FM legend. Extremely promising youngster. Debuted with 2 assists, and at 19 is on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, and will be playing fairly frequently.
from munich on loan at leverkusen ..

have leverkuson turned that shit

no they are in the title race and have some excellent talent in their team, which makes the loan move a bit odd...but Bayern said they loaned him to Bayer because they play attacking football like Bayern do.

He's already at Bayern, only a handful of clubs in the World can claim to be bigger than Bayern...

And he's talented enough to play for those clubs, it seems.

Well, the second part of his posting is the more important one... Bayern are a joke of a club when it comes to trust young players, the only one who cut it recently was Schweinsteiger, all the others (e.g. Lahm, Lell, Kroos) were loaned out, sold (Trochowski, Hummels, Feulner, Misimovic and so on) or not given enough chances (Podolski, Schlaudraff, Baumjohann will be the next one). Bayern probably have the best youth facilities and overall the best youth academy in Germany, but they feck up big time in that department regularly. An exceptional talent like Kroos should be nearer to the team than he was in autumn, given much more time on the pitch and prove his worth for the team. But Hitzfeld never was one for the youth and Klinsmann is a shite manager IMHO (still young though).
Kroos is going to be an outstanding player, his skills at the age of 17 were unbelievable.

i think he needs a very good assistant manager with a very good tactical ability. i like his football philosophy though

Exactly.
For me he is a showman... definitely was a fantastic footballer, but I just can't see how anyone can rate him as decent manager up to this point. Has done feck all so far, wanted to change everything at Bayern and in the end had to go back to the roots of his predecessor Hitzfeld. Without Ribery and Ze Roberto Bayern would be average this year.

and Klose who's been amazing...but then again you could say without Vidic and Carrick we would have been average as well

Ribery saves their arses 9/10 times this season. Vidic, as good as he performs, doesn't and we coped well with Carrick out for about two months in autumn.
But back on topic, I seriously hope Kroos plays regularly under Labbadia, the attacking mentality at Bayer with all the young(er) players should suit him well. Competition is heavy though, Renato Augusto is doing fantastic as well...

Got great ability, seen him for Germany and bits and pieces for Bayern. Skillful with good vision. Mature player. The hype around him seems to have gone down a bit in the last year though.

Could go the way of either German geniuses like Klinsmann and Matthaeus or those who faded away after a bright start such as Sebastien Deisler (mental depression)or Kevin Boateng

One of the players I'm mostly looking forward to this season. He had a good season at Leverkusen and it'll be interesting to see how this pays off at the level he has in Munich. With Robben out for some weeks, I expect him to get playing time and strengthen his reputation as one of Germany's brightest midfielder talents.

Still believe these 3, if they fulfill their promise are going to become a brilliant trio for the NT.
i can't wait to see him play for Munich under Van Gaal! if people thought Özil is talented, wait till you see this guy! i believe his talent is superior to Özil's. really hope he reaches his potential!! he was one of the best midfielders in the bundesliga last season!

True. I'm usually not a big fan of loan spells as young players mostly just rot on the bench. However, in Kroos' case, it has done him a world of good, just like it was the case with Lahm's loan spells, and I fully expect van Gaal to bring the best out of him. There's a reason why Munich were adamant not to sell him to Leverkusen and why everyone at Bayern is full of praise for him.

Gotta love Toni Kroos, what a marvellous display from him. One great player in the making.

I'm also happy for Gomez, I know how many Bayern fans have doubted him and he proved them wrong despite missing a sitter.

Missed a great chance against Spain in the semi final of the world cup. Bad miss. That could have changed the man completely.

And, you don't even post the brilliant goal he scored :nono:

Nothing special to be honest, just a long range shot. The sort of goals you'll see in any league every other weekend.

Turned a bit shit since his return to Bayern from Leverkusen.

Is just getting into some kind of form again.

I think the thing that is kind of special about it is the fact that he's done that so many times before, he's got a real talent for a spectacular shot.

are you german? i think we need a german or if the man himself would like to drop by and clear the matter up that would be pretty decent of him. So Toni, which isi it? Craws? Cruise? Kroooooooos?

No, I am Norwegian and speak a bit German (perhaps "spoke" would be more appropriate). If you listen to the video posted above that was the pronounciation I meant by Tawnee Kraws.

Must admit I have been wandering what marchi-91 thought of Toni Kroos...
