Tom Ince

I doubt the Inter interest was real, I'd imagine his old man has had a word and asked Inter to put a few words out to the press about their interest, raise the interest in his son, however on this occasion with Hull looking like his most likely new club, it hasn't quite worked as Paul would have liked.
Well his old man could have told him a thing or two about his time at Inter.. That didnt go so well..

His old man is going the right way about finishing his lads career.

It's a sensible move for Ince. Young players often get criticised for moving to big clubs with oversized squads for a lot of money and then never playing. Examples are all those kids signing for City or Chelsea and never getting pitch time. It's a better career choice to move to a smaller team in a top league, imo.

So he's turned down Inter Milan and will be joining Hull. What is it about English players being so reluctant to test themselves abroad?

How the hell is Hull preferable to Inter
? :wenger:

Better weather, better women, fish docks close by, City of culture in 20??, ...... Need I go on

Paul Ince and Steve Bruce were good mates during their days at Old Trafford and I assume still are. I highly doubt Tom Ince would be joining Hull if Bruce wasn't the Manager.

Good pickup for Hull and Bruce on a free.

He's talented and should do well for that level of club.

I just found out he turned down Inter.Inter.fecking.Milan, club of Meazza,Ronaldo,Djorkaeff,Zamorano, Facchetti,Matthaus, Zenga and Zanetti for Hull. Wow.

I'm pretty sure there was no actually deal it was more that Inter put their name into the ring as a favour to Paul (Tom's dad).

More money at Hull and better opportunities to play, it's not really hard to see why. Inter are hardly as big of an attraction now as they were at their best anyway, not even close.

No he actually had talks with them.

Even so it's Inter and they are bigger than Hull. with their current squad he'd get plenty of games and he'd be training alongside established internationals like Vidic and Handanovic.

Hull has Established Internationals too these days tbf though still not as big as Inter.

I think it was money along with wanting to stay in England and the PL.

I think playing oppurtunities probably would have been equal. Even more so after the signings Hull made late on now.

Really then it's a pretty strange choice.

To be fair he also rejected a contract extension at Liverpool and joined Blackpool as a teenager. Many scratched their heads as to why but that move worked out very well for him.

He wouldn't have got plenty of games considering they play with wing backs for the most part & Nagatomo & Dodo are always going to be ahead of him for that position. There's internationals at Hull too, granted Inter have the better squad and are obviously the bigger club but there's no real incentive to choose them from a personal perspective other than for their reputation. A move to Hull's a lot more beneficial.
