Apart from the goal.

Its been the best I have seen from him. Loads of workrate and sensible passing when required

Cleverley has arrived!

Yup, it's been a fantastic performance from him. Just needs to remain fit now.

Played well today...still think the goal was fluke though (looked a cross to me).

Doesn't change the fact the lad put in a top shift though.

Last two performances have been much improved. He definitely benefits from not playing in a two man midfield.

Fantastic today

He just makes us a far far better team when he plays. His movement and footballing brain are already top notch. Should be given a long run in the team from now on in.

There is no way that is a cross. Firstly, he looks up at the goal, and secondly, no one would shape to hit a cross that way. The way he gets under the ball to get height and swerve on it would be a bit daft if he was aiming for RVP.

Well you could equally say he looks up at the run, and that the technique difference is why the cross went awry.

Has he ever stopped running today? Excellent performance.

This

True, but I trust Cleverley as a man with excellent technique and one who know's what he's doing! :wenger:

Me too :p

Such composure coupled with this industrious attitude. Not to forget his really good range of passing. Chuffed for the lad.

It is not because of the goal but this young man will be our Schweinsteiger in a couple of years.

It looked like he meant it. He had space and time to hit it, and since he's one of our clinical passers of the ball I think he was going for the goal.

Very good performance, hope he can push on from this and continue his good play!

So happy with the midfield performance today. Just hope come the end of the season we are not cursing Fergies reluctance to play cleverley with Rooney and Carrick in midfield soon enough

Tbh I thought at the time he was striking it on goal, you could almost feel the intent was more than a cross

This match should be used for him as an example on how good he can perform. His workrate was impressive.

He was fantastic today, really impressive

When he was at Wigan he played on the left quite a bit and often tried those types of efforts. I still think this one was a cross though.

Best performance for him in a United shirt though today.

I thought he gave a very encouraging performance, much improved from anything else we have seen from him this season. He seemed much more assured in his play....confident in what he was trying to do. To feck he meant to score from that hit...but I'm glad he claimed it because his performance deserved it.

Still a lot of work to do to cement his place, needs to keep improving and keep his consistency. I think having Carrick behind him and Rooney is ideal as it provides a platform for him to express himself.

I thought his comment after the match made it pretty obvious he'd meant to cross it, he just didn't want to come right out and say it.

It was fairly obvious Cleverley can play to a very high standard from his performances last season.
