Gaming Tom Clancy's - The Division | Division 2 announced

Had loads of hours into this. Update 1.3 really fudged my experience, and I never returned. Feckin loved this game too. Division 2 is intriguing, but I doubt I'll have the time to put into it when it eventually lands. Any game that requires a grind wont work out well for me.

Same, I got to the point where all my gear was good and the update changed everything making it next to impossible to get the motivation to play.

A guy at work still plays and is in the top10 in the world or something daft. He still runs the same missions over and over again.

So.... this game is actually really good now!

It's a shame these open world RPG's launch with such little to do, as others mentioned a bit like Destiny it's at it's best at the end of it's life cycle.

I've been catching back up recently and enjoying it just as much as the first time around.

I really hope they dont make the same mistake with D2

The Division 2 beta starts on Thursday - anyone interested in this?

The first game was one of m favourite games on PS4 - was a game that certainly had its faults, but the fact that the developers addressed these in the updates means I am looking forward to the sequel.

Was a lot of fun when we have a group of us on here online - but the game was also fun playing solo.

I thought you'd resurface when division 2 came out.

Oh Tom Clancy Friend!

I enjoyed division up until the grind got shit. What's good about this one that makes worth buying?

More of the same from what I've seen so far except an extension of the story, a completely different city to explore and some new features and concepts.

I'll probably get it, always loved the atmosphere and there's a lot of potential with the story. It is a loot grinder at the end of the day though and you've gotta be happy with that sort of game, I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking.

Yeah that's what holding me back from getting it, I'll decide closer to the time.

When did you stop playing it?

They really improved the drop rate in my opinion and it felt less grindy as they updated it.

Bought it today and have Thursday & Friday off work, as it happens. :)

Been playing a bit of TD1 today, to get a feel for things again.

I went back online yesterday and it reminded me that the gunplay, movement and cover mechanics are really strong.

The enemies did feel a bit spongy at points in the game, but I didn't think this when playing yesterday (granted was just running around the LZ taking down the named bosses).

Forgot all about this! If anyone finds any beta codes without needing to pre-order I may have a dabble again to scope it out.

I played a couple of hours of it so far, feels pretty good and I'll keep my pre-order. The bullet sponge enemies now make sense and there are very few of them so far, gun play feels a bit better because of it. It's still The Division and it has an all new sense of atmosphere around DC. Mostly super smooth for a beta too, although I had some sound issues.

The constant barrage of invites was really annoying though and I could find no way to turn them off. They were also laying it on a bit thick with the strong female character schtick, to the point it was a bit distracting.

Character creator is randomized in the beta and I'm running around looking like Rickety Cricket.

There is a way to turn it off. Saw it on reddit.

Can't remember how, search on there though.

Edit: because i'm nice

"Convince me to buy the game"

Go do your own research. Or not. No one cares if you play it or not. Bye!

Wow precious much.

Nah those begging attention seeker posts are all over the net for most games. In an era of youtube content videos and subreddits of tens of thousands of people posting information it feels more like they want people to know they don't care for the game. All a bit cringe really.

Nice.

Yeah I found it myself by accident in the map screen, not the social screen where you'd think it would be.

Skills seem more powerful now. My turret lasts ages and is taking out enemies on it's own.

I only recently started playing the division properley but have found skills a bit of a crutch. Even at world tier 5 my little turret has been very useful for dark zone yellow bar enemies. I have seen a youtube video showing a little drone that drops bombs which looks cool.

Looking forward to trying this later, its got the attwntion of a few people i play with so i might get to experience the second with a team on mic, rather than the mostly solo experience i had with the first.

How dare that guy ask for people's advice on buying a game on a forum in a thread about the game. The absolute fecking cheek.

Not attention seeking just trying to gauge peoples judgment of the game do far.
