To all newbies in the loyalty pot...
Any Blackburn spares?
Any Blackburn spares?
How come I'm getting tickets for literally every game I apply for this season?
I used to not even bother trying via membership as it was so unlikely.
Have sales really dropped off that much?
I even got tickets for the Celtic game though. I'm having to flog off tickets to other people as I can't afford to go to all the games.
I've never been in a position of having a ticket I don't want before. Strange
Not against Celtic though, surely.
I've usually opted for midweek games in the past when applying, in fairness, as other cnuts seem to avoid them like the plague, yet for some reason I tend to enjoy them more.
I can see how it'd be easier to get tickets against teams like Bolton and West Brom, but I still can't recall it being so easy. Reckon there must be a drop off, whether it's due to the credit crunch, or the Irish suddenly becoming less interested in football, or something.
Not that I'm complaining.
Well, in fairness, when it costs you over £150 a game, which it probably does for most non local fans, and you're not a rich cnut, you're unlikely to want to shell it out on a game against Hull.
Tiered pricing would actually make sense from the club's point of view. Though they seem to just charge whatever they feel like at the moment, so maybe not
Yes, well that's the downside of not supporting your local team Noods, and something you have to live with, not whinge about
Tiered pricing makes sense for supporters who pick and choose games. It's sad that United are heading that way. They'd probably just end up charging more for the 'lesser' games, and much more for the 'big' games anyway
United fans are already victims of this tiering system. Just because our club is rich and successful, it doesn't mean our travelling fans are, who are often required to pay 'A' tier ticket prices. I'd be resistant to it happening at OT too
Tiered pricing doesn't make sense for supporters who pick and choose games. It makes sense for a club who's supporters pick and choose games (i.e. Blackburn), but the supporters themselves would likely prefer if they could pick and choose without having to pay more for the ones they want.
I don't think many whinge about it, but similarly, not many are going to choose a game against Hull over a game against Arsenal, when they can't afford to attend every game. That's why Tiered pricing exists, and that's why United will revert to it if they start struggling to sell out against smaller sides.
Most of the whinging tends to come from season ticket holders, which has always amused me, since for me, 4 games a season equals more than the price of any season ticket at Old Trafford, and the season tickets for the bigger clubs around here are also significantly more expensive than United's.
When United hit financial problems, fans really are going to have something to whinge about.
Nice to know that the complaints of Manchester folk increasingly priced out of attending the club they've supported and followed all their lives amuses you Noods...
Your saying it costs over £150 a game. I've been a regular traveller back and forth from London, you can make the journey return on a coach for £20. A ticket for thirty and thats £50 - throw in some travel costs to Euston and its still probably half the amount you're claiming. Unless you're wasting money buying open ended tickets, in which case its you're own fault you're throwing your cash away
I have all the time in the world for United supporters from all corners of the globe. But not when they start complaining about how much tougher it is for them, and how much easier local supporters have it. Pisses me off that
There are people who can't afford to pay their bills, who get on with it, and others who bitch like spoilt children because their football tickets cost more than they would like.
Yes, a few have gone on general sale
The fixtures have something to do with it mind. It'll be much harder to get tickets for the second half of the season
I've got tickets for every home game so far (except Bolton which I missed applying for) including West Brom and West Ham, but got chubbed for Celtic
They'll be on general sale, that's pretty much certain.
Hello, I would be interested in 3 tickets for the December 29th game at home against Boro. It's a Monday night at 8PM UK time.
Please PM me if you have tickets, I'll pay a good price.
Thanks!
If anyone offers you tickets on here above face, tell e'm to piss off, and report them.
Will be plenty around for face, and as Lizard will most likely go on general sale.
No need to regiser on viagogo, you just ring up the TO.

Pert said it cost him £400 to see the Barca game
I was sickened when I found out that was his first time at OT.
How the feck can united justify someone being able to make a CL semi final against Barcelona their first trip to OT.
If I was at the ticket office and this tier system come in I would have applications levels that people can apply at.
For example, in order to apply for an A game (Liverpool, City, etc) you would have to build up a certain amount of loyalty points going to the lesser grade games.
A system where people can just pick the big games and which cost more will be the death of our support IMO.
I think the loyalty schemes for CL aways are what should be brought in for members if a tier was put in place.
This might seem attractive - but it seems that some hard-core reds would be happy to apply for, and get, loads of home tickets, and sell the vast majority of them on, so that they can get away tickets (and presumably tickets to big games such as the champions league semi).
This is no reward for loyalty at all - they have been to few home games - just the ones they have chosen.
All it rewards is the connections and the longevity of passing on tickets (illegally) to others - what an amazingly worthwhile system that would be.
Does anyone know whether you're better off applying for away games (knowing you'll get chubbed) than not applying at all? In terms of increasing chances of getting tickets in the future.
