Well one of the fanzines was running a story about loads of ST holders v 'Boro deciding to try to get in - and this causing increased problems for folks with genuine entrance card problems.
I'd agree that procedures should stop such abuse as I describe - but I can see 2 probable scenarios - both based on my own experiences last year.
Sometimes, all the stewards did was refer you to someone near a tunstile with a clipboard and list if you had a problem with the card working. On at leat one occasion, all they did was wrote down some details and then let me through on an over-ride card. Now it occurs to me that on a non-cup game they may well assume the validity and let someone in - and perhaps sometimes they aren't too worried anyway. In any event, once in it's a problem for that game if they had sold their seat to another.

It was funny on the way home yesterday.
It was Lee's first time at OT and on the way back, after a wicked day, his girlfriend dumped him! He was crying all the way down the M6!! Not just a couple of tears he was proper sobbing his heart out!
