Defending a lead away from home isn't atrocious management for Christ sake. You can't account for a clanger from the keeper.
Eh? Deciding youl park the bus at 75minutes is pretty dumb. He took out his biggest goalscoring asset too, and went all in on the defending. Away to Real Madrid. It was actually quite funny he did it, I'm not shocked though. He's way too pragmatic at times, this being an obvious example.

You had no problems when he had 29-19 shots against City and lost 4-1 because he was too open.

Kane is shit. Once England figures that out, it will you how are underwhelming he is.

That was on Neuer. Probably would have won if he had held on to the shot. Margins.

They were a bit unlucky with the Neuer mistake but he fecked up taking off Kane and Musiala. You keep them on just in case and to provide a threat if needed.

NOT Thomas Tuchel that's for sure. First trophyless season for Bayern in two decades. The guy lost a title in a one-team league. Unacceptable and unforgivable. Second luckiest CL win ever behind Di Matteo then proceeds to steer Chelsea towards disaster the next season.
Anyone would have lost the title to the freak season Leverkusen just had.

Looked great to me - they were dominant defensively the first 75

They conceded from a GK error while down to 10 men. I’d blame Pavlovic’s behavior with his ‘cramp’ a lot more than Tuchel’s subs. His playacting cost his team dearly.
I didn’t even notice - did they score the first while he was off the field? Also, gk error which you can’t foresee.

For 80 odd minutes, his game management was absolutely first class. He’s again proven to be a good manager especially when it comes to big games.

He lost in the end coupled by a mistake from keeper and his hunch that adding more energy will help protect the lead, which is not a very insensible call. He got the call right with Davis though.

I would have taken him earlier and after today, as well. He knows how to win, and not a fraud like some others.

On a different note, Laimer was so good today, we need someone of that mold, and will fit in as the combative midfielder we dearly need. Will be affordable too maybe.

I only saw the last 30 mins but I'm assuming the Musiala and Sane subs were due to injury/fatigue, which I can accept and thought were fine. Taking off Kane though?

The only player up front with hold up play, composure and also being a world class striker. Wow.

They were playing the perfect game until that Neuer feck up. Football happens.

Ten hag wouldn't have done that. Granted he probably wouldn't have made any sub but it would have been better than that.

I doubt it. Ten Hag bottled a lead against The Bottler Alliance in what will be his only career Champions League semi-final.

So..
His team don't like him very much
His keeper drops ricketts
He had no luck with injuries
He gets dicked by bad refereeing at a crucial time.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss....will we get fooled again?

Context. He had to take off his 3 biggest counter threats in Musiala, Sane and Gnabry who were already unfit for the game btw (Musiala played with injections first leg), Coman is already injured. He's had bad luck with injuries at this stage of the season.

Taking Kane off in a semi final was a bad decision though, considering his brilliant record in latter stages of club cup competitions....

Sane was tactical, he got subbed off for a defender in Kim. Musiala may have been injury.

If 3rd place for Chelsea after their CL win, a Super Cup, a Club World Cup and both FA Cup and Carling Cup finals is a 'disaster', I don't know what you make of our season this year....

Expound on this record please

It was a CL semifinal against Real Madrid.

I'm stating this in case some forget it and make the strangest claims.

He made a tactical move to take Sane out for Kim. He didn't need to replace Sane with a CB if he had to hook Sane.

Keep EtH for another year and get Carlo instead? What a baller

I still want him here though, he knows how to get results in difficult circumstances and for the first 80 minutes they were in control of the situation. Shut up shop too early though when he should have continued counter attacking but it's Madrid, it's what they do, maybe they would have found a way either way.

The tournament should just be renamed The Los Blancos League, they have cracked the CL code.

His keeper is 137 years old.

Man the naivety of people putting that down to a goal keeping mistake…

The changes made increased the opportunity for a mistake like that to happen ten fold.

75 mins left… take off your entire front 3. And go to a back 5.

Only a goal up….

In the Bernabeu… in a CL semi?!?!

Inviting world class attackers onto you, with 0 outlet, in that atmosphere is beyond brain dead.

The same Tuchel who got two different teams to the CL final, actually won it once (and it wasn't luck, Chelsea were as poor as us under Lampard when he took over and won the damn thing in 6 months), proceeded to win the UEFA super cup and won the Bundesliga title in his first season at Bayern. Who'd you rather have over Tuchel among the reported contenders for the united job? Potter or Southgate?

Sane was poor to be honest. Musiala may have picked up a knock but it wasn't clear.

At least ETH wins semi finals
This.

People wanting some has-been who can’t even beat Madrid in the semi, while we already have a manager who absolutely annihilated Coventry in a semi recently. Madness

Finished 10th with Everton. Avoid. We need a winner.

Yeah Kane Is shit what a great take, just the 40+ goals this year but yeah shit wouldnt mind shit in my team if he scored 40 goals.

Tuchel tried to shut up shop far to early you can't do that with a 1 goal lead in a CL semi final and definitely not against Madrid

Not saying Tuchel would get us to a CL semi final but he's been to many, and also two finals in recent years. If teams such as Inter, Milan, Dortmund can get there then we have a chance down the line.

He was doing well at Chelsea league wise until the Russia thing happened, if you look at the form from when joined during the season to the start of the next he had them top. He's probably wanting to get back in the PL where he left off before Russia and Boehly mess.

If we could actually look coached and setup well and be in the mix that would great as really we haven't been since 2013.

Caf: Tuchel will get us trophies

proceeds to bottle a sure CL final in a few mins

Heeeee is garbage

He's got over 400 career goals (about 390 of them scored at the top level and most of them for a side not expected to dominate their league) . He's got numerous assists for Bayern (and before that Tottenham), and not ones where he just lays a 5 yard pass to his team-mate either. He wasn't at his best today, but he's one of the best playmakers in Europe, just behind likes of de Bruyne in his ability to spot passes. Best opening season in Bundesliga on record. You just need pace around him and competent midfielders who can transition the ball well. Also significantly better player for England, all told, than Rooney was post-2004.
