Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Samoa Joe has looked brilliant in this feud. I wasn't really too interested in him any more at this point, his stock had been going down for years in TNA and they waited far too long to make him champion. When he signed with NXT I was very much 'meh'. Wasn't overly impressed by anything he did in NXT with Balor/Nakamura and thought he got lost in the shuffle with Rollins/Triple H at Mania.

But he looks revitalized again since Extreme Rules and he has been a lot more believable as a badass in the Lesnar feud.

Kurt Angles face when Roman got out of the ambulance was the best moment of the ppv though. What a reaction :lol:

Roman will never be a top heel at this point simply because no matter what he does, a large portion of the crowd are still cheering him. Beats Undertaker at Mania and retires a legend-still cheers. Attempts to actually murder Braun-still cheers.

Would have been so easy to continue his cocky persona from the night after Mania but instead it was back to normal the following week.

How many are cheering him because it still sounds like he's being booed by 85% of the crowd

Kids and families mainly, but he does get a mixed reaction with a good portion of cheers.

I think the problem is that he beat Taker, who is a legend to those who grew up watching it through the 90s early 00s, but has only been a part-timer for quite some time, so the significance was likely lost among typical Reigns fans, and now he's apparently had his heel turn by doing something to hurt a guy who's been billed as a ruthless monster for the last few months.

For Reigns to have a proper heel turn he needs to destroy a face, or possibly turn on Rollins/Ambrose and their teased Shield reunion.

Quite a lot still, you can hear the initial cheers during his entrance and through his matches in normal cities, (Monday on Raw for example) and his comebacks always get a good reaction. Plus his merchandise sells pretty well by all accounts.

Good idea, might be the only way people would boo him. But then Rollins and Ambrose aren't exactly red hot at the moment either.

He's a face.

Roman is still a face and Braun is still a heel so wont get fully booed (although that moment should have been the start of a double turn)

The night after the Mania should have been his heel turn. It really was the most memorable promo of the year, even though he only said 5 words. But then the following week is was back to the usual crap.

TBH, it really should have been Survivor Series when he won the title tournament. Would have been perfect and tbh, he would have turned back to face by now.

I reckon that if he ever does turn heel then the fans that cant stand him now will be much more tolerant of him when he turns back face. As it stands its not even ''cool'' to boo Roman like it was with Cena, people are booing him out of sheer dislike.

Reading today about how both Enzo and Cass currently have backstage 'heat'. Apparently Enzo more so due to him wearing the wrong colour of shirt or some other ludicrous bullshit and has been excluded from the locker room by Roman Reigns of all people.

Supposedly in the case of Cass it's due to him being a big Trump supporter and to say a number of the other wrestlers don't feel the same way would be quite an understatement. I wonder who they might be.

The whole politics and backstage antics of WWE still make you fecking cringe, at least JBL's not around to be the world's biggest cnut in the locker room but he still tries his best on commentary.

Conversely I think Cass's politics have endeared him further to his boss and helped drive his recent push.

I might be completely making this up, but I could swear that there was heat on somebody for wearing DX colours (green, probably) back when they had their reunion run, so the whole colour thing isn't a new idea.

Oh, absolutely it isn't some form of new code. In fact, as far as I understand, it's quite the opposite and actually a very historic tradition going all the way back to the carnival days. However, regardless of how long it has been going on for, it doesn't make it any less stupid and petty.

Anyone think this Kurt Angle thing will turn out to be a gay affair? Seen a few people on Twitter speculate that, but can't see it.

It is in Nashville after all...

That seems to be the buzz at the minute and I think it's plausible.

I think it's too obvious and long term damaging for it to be him and steph having an affair - Especially with them practically running the company, in real life.

But hey - It's wrestling. Weird shit happens.

If it turns out to be Dixie (and it would be pretty rubbish if it was) then the only reason they'll be going ahead with it is to completely bury her.

I'm sure it'll appeal to Vince and undying obsession with getting one over on people but if it actually is Dixie, 95% of the audience will be like "Who's the old lady?"

There's also the inferiority complex aspect that Cornette talked about.

His son is going to be Chad Gable of course, because that's pretty much how far Vince's mind can stretch these days.

FFS, does this mean American Alpha are over? What a dumb decision.

This is a joke based on the Angle liking black women. right?

At least they are actually 20 years apart in age. Would have been funny if they picked somebody around Angles age.
Guess picking Gable would have been too obvious though...

Christ, that was bad.

It's as though they've thought, we'll habe Gable as his son. It'll be perfect.

Then when social media collectively guessed that's what was going to happen, they've gone, "a-ha! I know, we'll trick them, we'll have Gable's tag partner!"

Just very meh. Although, I should've grown to expect this from WWE by now.
