Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

I'm surprised that wwe havent tried poaching a few TNA divas/knockouts. Obviously not Piggie James or lil Kim (or whatever her fecking name is) as they've only recently left wwe, but the like of velvet sky would surely be worth approaching.

RAW starts at 1am tonight btw, in case anyone plans on watching live.

I find it literally impossible to watch RAW live... far too many advert breaks.

They'll probably be announcing the participants for this Team Long, Team Laurinitis 6 vs 6 match they've confirmed for Mania... I'm interested to see whose going to make the face team.

When Cena came out with the thug life theme I marked a little bit. If he doesn't turn heel at mania I'll be so very disappointed now. The Rock concert was entertaining, until The Rock tried to be Freddy Mercury, at which point it became a little bit cringeworthy.

I hope HHH and Taker put on a good match after all this hype.

Jericho and Punk is still the most interesting feud though, despite getting so little promo time. The minute or so of talking Jericho did was probably the single best minute of this weeks RAW. I can't wait to hear Punks response. Hopefully something similar to his feud with raven at ROH because his promo there was fecking brilliant.

  • Cena's rap was decent. Probably excellent if you enjoyed his old gimmick (I personally was never a massive fan).
  • For the amount of gay-jibes that noth the Rock and Cena throw, they're seemingly both obssessed with putting things up asses or putting cocks in each others face.
  • Dolph is just losing all the time these days... but at least he's still being competitive whilst doing it. (Unlike The Miz)
  • Also, Ziggler could sell art to the blind.
  • I don't think any wrestler has made me do a 180 turn on them in the space of a single year as heavily as Mark Henry has. I love watching him destroy people like a big angry bastard... it's highly entertaining.
  • Having said that, Kofi and Truth looked like chumps a little bit... but meh, Mark fecking Henry!
  • Beth Phoenix in a dress? Yes please.
  • Lets be honest... HBK's music is just ridiculous. I know it's been the same for 20 years or whatever, but yeah...
  • Cleveland wrestling fans are on my list of retards after "what"ing Undertaker and HBK... morons.
  • Y2J making the feud personal with Punk is an excellent touch, and Punks reaction to it was equally superb.
  • Also... John Cena should pay fecking attention to CM Punk's reaction to Jericho's promo. That's how you sell another man speaking on the mic... just imagine if Punk had been laughing away whilst Jericho was talking like Cena was last week??
  • I want David Otunga as my lawyer.
  • Jack Swagger doesn't get an entrance anymore?? Holy feck that man has fallen far. He's no longer even refered to as an ex-WHC... he's the ex-US Champ.
  • I have literally no interest in Orton vs. Kane.
  • Is "banged" PG?
  • I find it hard not to be a Rock Mark... that man plus a guitar = ratings. Not a patch on "Cleavland doesn't Rock no it totally sucks" ... but hey.
  • "We will Rock you" was terrible though... bloody awful. Whose idea was that? And to pipe in the music so sodding loud as well? Probably one of those "This looks better on paper moments"... Horrible, horrible way to end the show

Average Raw overall... the only story that really progressed in any way was Jericho Punk... everything else is just as you were.

I thought Cenas rap was terrible, Rocks concert was good up until We Will Rock You.

I think Ziggler gets a massive push after WM.

Y2Js promo was good, I was sat there a bit taken aback. Punk sold it really well too.

Otunga as your lawyer was way too corny for me. I also have no interest in Orton/Kane.

I'm beginning to be a little bit miffed by the Rock vs Cena feud. They hate each other but won't get into a physical altercation merely relying on slagging each other off. Why isn't Cena running down to beat on The Rock after Rock suggests he has banged Cenas mum? I thought the kane storyline was meant to be Cena embracing the hate. It's all too watered down at the moment.

Also they have to put Cena over as a heel. Rock is getting the whole crowd to hate him.

I cant take Cenas new (old) gimmick seriously with all the shit hes been doing these past years. His rap wasn't so bad if you are a fan of his old stuff. The rock, same tune for every fecking song and 'we will rock you' ? sign of times. Cant believe the shit rocks doing, he should be potty mouthing and owning John Cena to a whole differant level.

I suppose they need to consider that the Rock is a million miles away from Cena on the Mic. If he had free reign then he might completely bury Cena as a face (if that is what is intended). Also Rock is probably limited by the PG bullshit. He can't say the same things he would in the attitude era. Other than the We Will Rock You cringeworthy stuff, it was pretty entertaining.

Would have preferred to see Rock vs Punk, that could have caused some epic promos.

Not a bad RAW, Jericho promo was out of the blue, adds more fuel to that fire. Jericho to win and CM Punk to capitulate and turn heel? Stone Cold to come back and put him over???? DO IT!

Like what? what could he say? I keep seeing people type this but what exactly can he say that he hasn't said already? What can he say to Cena to push it to the next level?

Turning their biggest, most popular, best selling face for the sake of a few PPV buys and stroking the ego of the former star who left them would be an awful business move for WWE. I reckon Vince is shrewder than that.

My god... Dolph Ziggler is awesome.

Seriously... are there no bounds to his greatness?? He better get a push after Mania.

Well he is obviously limited to certain language that he can use and things he can do. Partially due to having to be (relatively) PG but also to ensure that a former wrestler from ten years ago doesn't completely bury the biggest star in the company currently, that would be a nightmare.

Either way for now the story just doesnt make sense. Neither has had much of a physical altercation since their brief PPV encounters or even appear in the ring together. It is all just a little disjointed like the Twitter war is just being shown on TV.

I'm guessing WWE doesn't want to give away anything for free, but id love them to build it up a bit more like HHH vs SCSA where if either attacked the other they would be fired. Although Rock isn't under contract they could at least put some kind of stipulation to explain why they are only attacking each other verbally

Raw was entertaining and fun. Thats how it used to be. Pretty much every segment had meaning and wasnt just filler (well except Brodus return unless he ends up on Longs team).

Yeah you didn't answer the question. Your not hitting the specifics. How can the rock bury cena with anything new.
And you talk about this supposed language pg restrictions.
The rock has already used arse and bitch. Its not as if everyone was going around tellin each other to feck off or suck cock during the attitude era. The language has always had its limit.
I just dont get this unfounded theory that apparently the rock can 'bury' cena.

I have to admit, I marked out slightly when Cena came down to the ring to his Basic Thuganomics theme and gimmick. His rap was just okay though.

The Rock's concert was brilliant, up until the We Will Rock You part which was a step too far IMO.

I loved how you can hear Lawler and Cole laughing all the way through Rock's concert. He's so naturally funny and entertaining.

Yokozuna for the hall of fame. Much like Dalglish's management career , he died in Liverpool.

What a joke. Yokozuna, but still no induction for Randy Savage or Ultimate Warrior. Those two along with Hogan were the WWF in the late 80's early 90's.

Surprised there's nothing for Randy as he does deserve one, there's a huge anti Warrior feeling within the WWE and they won't want to be attached to him in anyway. Time for the Bulldogs to get an Induction I think. Both of them.

Rumour, more likey he was more pissed off with him for taking WWE's then main sponsor with him in 94 when the WWE was on the brink. The WWE started to relink with Savage in the end and included him in games and toy ranges, not the actions of a angry father. I expect him to be in the hall of fame soon.

Macho Man deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but I hope he doesn't go in anymore. I think the reason we all wanted him in so bad, was because we wanted to actually see him and hear him talk again. Unfortunately that can't happen anymore.

As long as he's not in the Hall of Fame, there will always be those who question the validity of it. Hopefully, this will teach the WWE a lesson, that if they have an opportunity to do something, they should do it because you never know what can happen.

Macho Man was willing to do the Hall of Fame, if his brother and father were also inducted with him, which means they could have inducted him anytime, but chose not to.

I am watching smack down. Why is edge in the hall of fame? Has he retired now? But even still is he not a tad too young?

Also mike Tyson????

Edge retired a few months back, incredibly serious neck injury.

Tyson was a bit ridiculous, admittedly.

To be fair, Tyson is going into the "celebrity wing" ... and in terms of impact, no celebrity has made a bigger impact on WWE, and indeed on wrestling then Mike Tyson... you could make an arguement that he kick-started the Attitude Era.

On a totally unrelated note... Daniel Bryan is awesome. In the space of a year he's gone from mid-card face whose can't get on PPV's, to the top heel in the company (Can't think of any other wrestler who gets as much heat as he does... not even Jericho).

YES! YES! YES!

It's a double edged sword. He's the best seller about these days, so he'll get the high profile matches to make the superstars look good, but he'll also lose them.

Totally agree about the Bulldogs. Both are long over due.

Warrior has been mentioned quite a bit recently (Cody Rhodes promo a few months back and Rock promo on Raw just gone) so maybe their has been a reconciliation?

I'm rather disappointed with this Wrestlemania build up. Why aren't none of the big guns kicking two shits out of each other before the event? Is every Wrestlemania like this?

Yeah, i don't like it either. "I hate you so much I'm gonna beat the shit out of you. In 3 weeks time. For now I'll just walk away slowly."
