Who do people think would look good (and probably more importantly, draw) against Lesnar? He's the ultimate beast and has looked dominant against every single person they've put in front of him - and will always do so.

Fantasy booking - how would you book his run to Wrestlemania and who would he face?

They've backed themselves into a corner re Lesnar IMO. They can't have an up and comer face him for them to be dominated which is why I see them feeding Sheamus to him in a hard hitting match. Gives the crowd what they want (Lesnar beating down on someone who is able to give some blows back in a futile fight back).

Triple threat between Lesnar, Reigns and Sheamus. Or a Fatal Fourway if HHH decides to get back in the ring.
Big hitters all round - be a bit of a throwback given how Lesnar takes it upon himself to bleed at every opportunity and HHH is no stranger to punishment.

I don't see how they could book that match to have any real meaning though - it'd be an entertaining watch but a waste of Lesnar's talent and ability to draw. Did you see the video of their match at a live show the other week? It's been taken down now but this article describes the action http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news...ive-event-match-against-sheamus-from-houston/

I think the triple threat/fatal four way title match (with Lesnar as a challenger, not champion) or a 1v1 title match with him holding the belt from the Rumble onwards (or possibly winning it at Fastlane) are the easiest matches for them to build. Not necessarily my preferred route but I think from WWE perspective it's an easy build for easy money.

I think it'll be the laziest of lazy booking, Sheamus eliminated Lesnar, Lesnar wants revenge. With the current injuries they'll be throwing matches together to get all the big names on the card. I don't see them wasting Lesnar in a triple threat/fatal fourway, plus they need more matches to boost the card.

That's not true about Owens, he loves the buisness.
I know, I meant the character he is onscreen.

Tough call who Lesnar will face though. They have done Triple H already, so that's off. I'll go for this at Mania:

-HHH(C) vs Reigns (World Title Match)
-Lesnar vs Sheamus (League of Nations handicap match, basically)
-Taker vs Wyatt II. (Wyatt to go over this time, and Taker goes into the HoF next year instead of this year)
-Dean Abrome (C) vs Chris Jericho (one last shot at the IC title for Jericho)
-US Title ladder match - Del rio, breeze, neville, ziggler, Owens, maybe some NXT guys?
-Uso's (c) vs New Day vs Lucha Dragons (Tag titles TLC II.)
-Charlotte vs Sasha vs Becky for the divas title
-Andre Giant battle royal

How to get there is tough, and two ladder type matches might be overkill though.

Lesnar vs Sheamus was muted on the dirtsheets as long ago as last year. Maybe that's why they've done a few house shows together.

Owens vs Rock would be great. They are actually friends IRL.

That'd be a huge plus if they were to book it - Rock would hopefully take it seriously and give it his 'A' game rather than spew out 20 minutes of fat jokes and penis puns.

Owens vs The Rock with Owens going over. The promos.

Now that would be perfect. Great match and would be an excellent stepping stone to push Owens towards Brock. It would help give him some much needed credibility after his recent up and down form. As you say, the promos could be amazing.

The Styles video from last night is very misleading, he went on to say how it wasn't up to him etc…

On which, that was a real good show yesterday. Speedball vs Damo disappointed me a little but was still good. Bram as the mystery partner was hilarious for lack of reaction, the main event was very good with Zack modifying the Jim Breaks Armbar into one of the craziest submission moves I've ever seen. Then we have Marty and Will Ospreay. Oh my word that is the match of the year so far. Incredible stuff.

I was there and Marty V Ospreay was a stunning match, amongst the best I've ever seen and I've seen some crackers. I saw that the Rev Pro ref tweeted that it might be the best match they've ever had.

In all honesty I was a bit disappointed with Styles V Sabre Jnr, thought it seemed a bit flat, it was a decent enough wrestling match with some good spots but following what came ahead earlier I was hoping that they'd come out of the traps to try and compete with the Scurll/Ospreay match. I was also fairly unimpressed with Jay Lethal, what are your thoughts on his match/him in general?

Lethal? I like Lethal a lot more than most, but he's very big match orientated. He has a tendency to phone it in if he's not the main event (as we saw last night) which really holds him back from getting to the upper echelons, for instance at the Tokyo Dome he should have treated it like a main event to make a name for himself but no.

Think adding the stip really hurt that match too, there was no intrigue at all after that and it was just a case of waiting for the Lethal Injection.

Just caught up on Smackdown. Seems they've upped their game a bit since moving TV stations.

eh? What's a NXT?
NXT is the developmental arm of the WWE, they are based in Florida and put on a one hour show every Wednesday on the WWE network as well as a special 2 hour show in the same vein as WWE PPVs which are broadcast like on the network.

The wrestling and storylines tend to be superb and is worth the network subscription price alone.

Oh didn't know that!
Sounds like an 'amateur' arm of WWE?
How come they aren't big? (or am i living under a rock)

It's well known in wrestling circles, they had a sell out tour of the U.K. Last month. If you're a wrestling fan it's well worth checking out mate.

It's overseen and booked by HHH and a lot of veterans help the wrestlers etc. They have basically stripped the promotion to its bare bones and the focus is solid wrestling and story telling.

They hire a lot of wrestlers that are big on the Indy scene too, so it's not like a bunch of rookies botching moves all the time. They also give very good exposure to women's wrestling, if you go back and take a look at the end of year awards we did for fun a lot of posters voted for Women's matches from NXT as their match of the year for example.

Interesting, what's in it for the WWE then?

In theory: New talent that is ready to be introduced to Raw/Smackdown and have great careers there. They recently did a show called Breaking Ground which covered how NXT trained the rookies and some of their stories. Well worth the watch.

Speaking of new shows: Does anyone know when the show with Edge&Christian and Ride Along start?

No but I did watch Austins podcast with Edge and Christean last night, it was pretty damn good.

Seriously, you have a hell of a lot of great matches to catch up on if you ain't seen NXT. You'll probably think it's a WUM but the womens matches are just off the charts.

So thw wrestling is good? Or the stories and characters?

The lot, it's excellent. I'd say watch all the Takeover events but to name a few matches to seek out -

Sami Zayn vs Cesaro
Neville vs Sami Zayn
Neville vs Zayn vs Breeze vs Kidd
Balor vs Neville
Zayn vs Owens
Becky vs Sasha
Becky vs Sasha vs Charlotte vs Bayley
Bayley vs Sasha (1 & 2, both classics in their own right)
Owens vs Balor (Beast In The East and Ladder Match)
Samoa Joe vs Balor (London)

I could and probably will name a load more, just got to rack my brain.

Bayley Vs Nia (London) it was so beautifully booked.

ahhh man, @Paz just start with Takeoever:London and work backwards from there man, seriously.
Nooooo @Paz, you need to get the stories and the whole Zayn storyline and Bayley/Sasha storyline, so go from NXT Takeover Fatal 4 Way and watch all the Takeover events, you will barely waste a second.
