Hopefully Zayn becomes number one contender now that hes fit, defeats Balor, Balor snaps, turns heel and has his... club.

He'll have a #1 contender match with Joe on the NXT Tapings in the Rumble weekend. Would be great, although I wonder how that would transition to the main roster? I can't see Balor drop the title and stay at NXT I guess.

I think we're going to see a four way feud. Corbin, Zayn, Joe and Balor. That'll be a hold over till Itami gets back. A tag team from NOAH has been teasing coming back as 'back up' for Itami on twitter, and i think it'll be revealed it was Balor or the Balor Club that put Itami out and we'll have that feud.

Exactly, the fact that they never explained the Itami thing can actually be used so strenghten a Balor heel turn.

It could work, Itami being out meant he missed a triple threat right (which included Balor and Breeze). From that Balor won and then won the title (iirc).

Would work quite well.

Also Finn keeps teasing on twitter ffs.

Wikipedia has Vader and Undertaker for this years hall of fame. Now, we all know how reliable Wikipedia is (:nervous:), but it got me thinking: Who are currently "active" and will make it in the HoF in the future?

In WWE or outside?

Current WWE: Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Kane, Big Show, Triple H, The Bellas, The Dudleys and If they count WcW as 'WWE' now then Sting.

Outside WWE? Rey Mysterio Jr, RVD, Kurt Angle.

So many current roster that could potentially have HoF careers. Seth Rollins being the main one.

Yeah both. I agree with all of those, few are headline material too. I'd add Paul Heyman to the list I guess. I was listening to an older podcast and they were talking about Steve Austin pushing heavily for the Freebirds to get in this year too. Apparently, he was ready to boycott WM this year if they were not inducted. Make of that what you will.

Oh yeah Paul Heyman deffo, and there are calls for Jim Johnson to be inducted.

Freebirds is difficult. They were borderline racist, when pushing feuds back in the day. Hayes, works back stage in WWE but was suspended a few years back for telling Mark Henry 'I'm more of a n***er than you'. He's also apparently the one responsible for Black wrestlers not getting gimmicks 'because being black is there gimmick'

And that reminds me, i think Mark Henry will be inducted. If Rikishi was...

Mark Henry should be inducted twice - once for his theme music and once for his fake retirement speech.

That was excellent.

Id add Christian to the list. Probably Hardy Boys as a duo (or at least Jeff). Daniel Bryan, Batista, Goldust, Regal will all get in.As will JBl and Michael Cole. Probably New Age outlaws too. And of course Vince :)

Sting announced for the Hall of Fame. No Taker or Rock this year then?

Sting deserves it. Still stupid they had him lose to HHH last year at WM though.

Will never get over that one. I don't care who tries to argue it, it'll never make sense to me. Sting's first match in the company and they have him lose it. I think you could probably accept it had it been to put a younger talent over or had it been a dream match like Taker/Sting but Triple H? Shit decision.

Makes it even worse since he then lost to Rollins (and got a title shot after that)
Imagine, Sting the WCW legend who won at WM on his debut against HHH going after Rollins, and then Rollins winning.

Given Rollins comments about being the man, he could then brag to HHH he did something that HHH couldnt. The whole story was there if needed.

Even without the story, what did it actually gain given HHH wasnt wrestling after that?

All it did was have JBL say WWE beats WCW (14 years after they had already won)

Sting is the headliner so they will do it now (before rumble) and then sell the tickets based on that. Expect it like normal, five weeks before WM they will announce a new one each week.

Those are good shouts, although Jeff drug abuse, and Billy Gunn recently getting fired for road abuse may stop that happening.

Dynamite kids behavior outside the ring may exclude him aswell.

But who knows they have an award after the ultimate warrior... So they may not care that much...

Yeah Lemmy will probably go in as celeb this year.

I think Gunn / Jeff will be forgiven down the line and inducted in the future.

Possible spoiler for Raw, NXT stars backstage at Raw, could be on the show. Would love this.

Jordan & Gable

I've always felt Mark was an underrated talker. People love that speech, and rightly so, but from about 2006 onwards I thought it was actually one of his main strengths. He's a great heel on the mic.

I hope they dont debut tonight (well depends on where Raw is and what crowd it will be in front of).
Cold debut (with no vid packages etc) in front of a non smarky city crowd will see a lame reaction to them. It will be a case of "who?" imo.

Would Stephanie ever just piss off?

She really is the worst villain. She tries sooo hard to be Vince, but shes not. Shes just terrible as a character now.

Edit: If Raw ends with Brock just destroying the whole roster, I will not mind.

That raw was bad, really bad.

What was the point of Brock? Why not just keep him off tv until he enters the rumble?

Vince and Stephanie opening up the show was cringeworthy.

The positives were the putting Owens in the spotlight and not having reigns squash him as I expected. And Becky Lynchs beat down and promo about Charlotte.

Think there contracts still run for another month or so? They till got ROH dates, where as AJ Styles has pulled from all of them.

Gallows has never been under contract (a la AJ) but on a pay per appearance deal, Machine Gun however, his contract was supposed to be up January 31st. Now it's possible WWE don't want him until Mania time or after so they agreed with New Japan to do one more tour, I'd be surprised if they still do the ROH shows however even though they're still advertised. At best I'd assume they'll work a dark match (like Joe last year).

Of course them agreeing to one more tour would be weird given New Japan told Nakamura to feck off when he spoke to them about doing the New Beginning shows but maybe they expect different things from gaijin. It just seems quite weird to me.

Thing is Gallows and Anderson have not yet they've confirmed they are off. Nakamura has spoken to several places in Japan that he's off. WWE have also grabbed the license to his theme song, obviously meaning that WWE can't use it.

WWE have trademarked Balor club, but apparently they are also trying grab Bullet Club as NJPW hasn't registered it in the US.
