Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Good from A.J. I mean, not good for her because she'll be punished or probably fired or leave or whatever. But fair points. What is this thing about Brock walking out of RAW?

Wow, that comment from AJ is absolutely brilliant and well said.

WWE has form for this though, praising an initiative in public while their own activities go against that very initiative. Did they ever address the Austin-Debra domestic violence situation for instance? She's been on record saying that they knew but did nothing.

I doubt they will fire her over this, if they did then it would cause a major backlash for them, imagine this headline "Female wrestler speaks out about inequality and gender pay gaps and gets fired." Every rights group in America would be up in arms.

Of course there's a time and place for everything but she was respectful and didn't insult anyone plus those are actual issues so WWE would be better served addressing them than simply giving her the boot, would get a lot more positive P.R from it as well.

Although all of that could be irrelevant and AJ could be on the verge of quitting on her own accord, which while still bad for WWE isn't as bad as them firing someone for making comments promoting gender equality

Bingo.

AJ has been out of the door since she got married, it was just a matter of when and she's been on the "Rey list" for some time now. Her contract is on the verge and she has no intention of re signing, she's seeing a lot of people that she worked with still getting treated poorly and has decided to speak up before she's actually gone, shining a spotlight majorly on the issue that is particularly pertinent after the Patty Arquette speech and the abomination that was the treatment of Paige, Emma and the Bellas last night.

What happened them?

And why do you think Brock would be better off going to Bellator?

They were the prominent women on the show and got a grand total of thirty seconds. Of a 3 hour show. That'd be ridiculous on a 60 minute show.

Bellator would be a better move as they'd throw money at him and he can keep negotiating his own sponsorships all while having a lower level of competition. More money for less competition sounds like a sweet deal to me.

I will be honest and apart from when the ladies were showing their assets I never enjoyed female wrestling. I know they have improved their skills a bit but they are still not entertaining matches (IMO)

Yeah I think the lesser competition is a thing that will not appeal to Brock. He will want to prove himself

Which is fair (kinda, they can do exactly the same stuff as the guys) but the fact they're not given an opportunity is not fair at all.

How can they change anyone's mind in 30 seconds? It's not a platform to show their ability.

The money will appeal a hell of a lot though. As I said though, this is very much more of an MMA discussion.

I think it is embarrassing that Vince is having Daniel Bryan and Paul Heyman promote Roman Reigns.

It basically means Vince realizes he has pushed him too quickly, and he is now needing cheap approvals from people the crowd respect in order for the Reigns push to be believable and over.

I'm not even anti-Reigns, but it's a cheap way of getting pushed. Reigns has done nothing to be worthy of being "better than Austin 98, or The Rock '99"

Maybe if they'd had Reigns beat Rusev clean at Fastlane.

Anyone know what the story is about Brock being unhappy backstage ?

We have finally reached the stage where newzzz/rumors is more entertaining than the product

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we will get AJ vs Steph at Mania.

Catch 22- get limited time because they arent perceived as "entertaining". Not given enough time to change perception of that. I do think its unfair though especially on a 3 hour show where they show lots and lots of recaps.

Its weird whats happening to Rey Mysterio too. He clearly wants out. You would think they would use him to get somebody over big time. This happened when Dudleys left, they were off TV for about a month when they could have been used to lose to M&M.

Women's wrestling in WWE has been a joke for a while - and perhaps unsurprising, given they've previously been told not to have good matches (interview with Michelle McCool).

Said match against Melina was actually pretty good - a bit short and the ending was lame, but there were some great spots in that match and it's mind-boggling they got told off for it.

I'd be happy with a championship scramble at Mania for the IC title, just a little worried who the 5th man could be having read this week's SmackDown spoilers.

Championship scramble, that was a fun match that has been thrown on the scrap heap. Would be a really good idea to do that at 'Mania.

What is the potential Main card for Wrestlemania that we could have had ?

Lesnar vs Bryan
Undertaker vs Sting (True faces of the companies IMO)
Rollins vs Ambrose (Ending the feud properly)
Triple H & Authority vs Cena/Orton (Current faces of the WWE make evil authority leave)
Reigns vs Rusev (US title, Reigns to go over)
Ziggler vs Wyatt vs BNB (elevate IC title)
Divas
Battle Royal
Tag Team championships

Sounds like bullshit. Why would Brock care if another member failed a drugs test. It's widely known that half the locker room are on gear and so long as he passes the test then nothing else matters. It's not guilt by association by any stretch of the imagination and Brock doesn't give two shit's about the media retiring to his quiet life on his ranch when he's not doing anything.

Brock would put over the Bella twins, if he was getting paid enough to.

Apparently the problem with Brock walking out is due to money.

I've seen this up a few places, which makes more sense.

We’re told the relationship between WWE and Brock is becoming strained because they are pressuring him to sign an extension and as we’ve noted numerous times, he wants to be a free agent and field offers before deciding anything. Some close to Brock believe he feels they’re sabotaging his merchandise out of spite now. As previously noted, Brock earns a higher royalty rate than normal and his merchandise isn’t featured at most shows. When he finally realized what was going on, he was extremely upset.

Still, the WWE were always going to deny the Reigns shite, were it true.

Its all about the money for Brock. I read on reddit that Melter had said that this year's PPV paychecks were a lot lower than last years because more people are watching the PPVs on the Network, so the wrestlers get a cut from a smaller pot or something like that. Couple it with his lack of merch availability and you have a reason for Brock to be pissed, he isnt champ for the fame or recognition, he literally wants the money

How on Earth has David Otunga still got a contract?
Probably his wife.

Tbh, it depends on how he gets on with the powers that be. Eve Torres is still on contract, albeit an "ambassador" one, mostly because she's mates with Stephanie. They still pay Mean Gene and the Fink a weekly wage, then there's the likes of Bill DeMott, who was always shit, not really well known, and apparently sucks as a trainer, but they keep him around fuck knows why.

Then they feck off so many grapplers of real talent.

What does his wife have to do anything? She isn't anything to do with WWE is she?
