Wasnt daniel bryan suppose to be the greatest? All i know about this devitt guy is his cool halloween body paint which I presume wont be allowed in the WWE.
Daniel Bryan isn't a wrestler as it stands. There's every chance we could see the paint, just maybe not in NXT.

No, but is it suppose to be better than bryan at his best? Cos I wasnt really his fan, didnt have that much charisma.

(Also, will you be interested in replacing someone in WW? I need to modkill someone :( )

Anyone been to any house shows this past week? I'm going to Brighton tomorrow. How long have they been going on for?

Hold for hold no, but not many in history match Bryan in that sense. He definitely has presence far exceeding what Bryan has ever had, and his style has a lot more viciousness about it, which is something I love.

He's coming in here from being the top heel in New Japan, he definitely has charisma.

The next month of NXT spotlights him quite a bit, which will remove a lot of doubts. Or if you have time check some of his stuff from the last year or so. Some great stuff like against Zack Sabre JR and my favourite would be his match with Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 8. Both are pretty easy to find.

As for the paint, if he does paint up I'd say it'll be a big shows only thing with a unique design.

Ahhh okay, will try and catch him on nxt then. I am not really that big a follower of wrestling nowadays just catch the occasional good raw so finding videos of him in japan and watching them seems like too much of an effot.

Thanks for the reply though.

Ermmm Yoshi is now in NJPW and is/was taking on Bullet Club. He came in and cleaned out Ascension with Hideo. Haven't read about the next tapings so I dunno what he's up to. Just that by all accounts he is the greatest.

Yeah, Yoshitatsu "Bullet Club hunter" had his first match back in New Japan on Saturday, and proceeded to nearly kill himself in the finish of the match.

On that New Japan show, this may be the match of the year, if you're a fan of the Barrett/Sheamus style big guys absolutely battering each other (as I very much am):

Prince Devitt isn't/wasn't even the best guy in New Japan.

Well it depends what you're looking for, you can't really compare him with an Ishii for instance, Okada whilst really good and the guy doesn't do much for me, same with Tanahashi. Shinsuke is magnificent but certainly has his drawbacks (mainly in the fact he does like 8 moves, 5 of which are variations of the Boma Ye).

In fact, there's so many great guys there I'm going to stop naming them. Being in the conversation for top New Japan guy certainly puts you in a great position for being one of the very best around.

In fairness, although I'd take a few guys in Japan over Devitt (if we extend outside New Japan, then I'm a big fan of Daisuke Sekimoto), none of them are going to do as well as him in the WWE simply because he's fluent in the language (which may hold Kenta back), and he's got a better look than arguably any of them (especially if they bring the facepaint in)

You say that, but although I'm not his biggest fan, I'd say Okada is made for the WWE.

He's huge, got a great look and can wrestle (and that dropkick, it's perfection). But yeah, language was definitely a factor in thinking he's the best fit, although KENTA does seem to be picking it up incredibly fast (which makes Mistico look even worse than he already did).

Sweet jesus what a match

I love Hirooki Goto's theme, by the way. Just reminded of it by that match.

Also, Grumpy Cat is next week's RAW guest host. Make of this information what you will.

Just got home from WWEBrighton, Mizdow is amazing, the rest was rather meh though, though rusev looked massive then big show came out :O

Nikki Bella looked so hot

So its Ziggler vs Cesaro vs Kidd, elimination IC Title match on Smackdown and it's supposedly fantastic.

No Lesnar. Not even for a PPV? I presume this is good in a way too. Let youngsters get elevated.

Raw was really good. Enjoying the build to Survivor Series.

No surprise here.

Mark Henry vs Big Show
Rusev vs Sheamus
Rollins vs Cena
.
Kane + Luke Harper vs Ziggler + ?

The only wild card is Ryback. Will he end up in Team Cena fighting whoever is not fighting Ziggler?

What has my interest is Erik Rowan looking for 'her'. I think she might be Renee Young. Her rumoured to be dating Ambrose (who is feuding Bray for what?) adds more complexity to the issue.

Natalya? mmm, I like Kidd. He deserves a run in the ring and not on the damn TV show. Will be a big step up for both of them.

Yeah, not kayfabe...but thought it will make for a nice plot.
See I don't think the Bray v Ambrose is that aimless. Bray is a cult leader, his entire reason for everything is to try and recruit and fix people, or to rival others who would try to win over the masses.

Ambrose is clearly a broken man, its not a huge stretch as to why he'd be targeted by Bray Wyatt.

I don't know man. Seriously.

It reminds me of Paul Bearer, Undertaker and Kane. Bearer was a manager figure who threatened to reveal the undertaker's dark past which was perfectly in line with his Taker's character. And Ambrose I never saw Ambrose 'broken'. Just a crazier version of Stone Cold with a total disregard for authority. And Bray is going to fix him by fighting him? Let's see how this plays out...

Natalya was absent from Kidds match when Rowan came out. Well, the commentators (think it was JBL) mentioned that Nattie was missing from ringside and it could be her.

Im just hoping they dont make Rowan a joke character.

Gave in waiting and did the WWE Network Sign Up via Unblock whatever...so fecking worth it, its fantastic from what I've seen. Just had time to watch Summerslam 2000, excellent PPV.

Nikki Bella looked so hot

Nikki Bella has looked hot ever since, well..... (o)(o)

Big boobs, snapbacks and being a complete bitch just seems to work

I don't understand why a week ago Ryback was talking about how he isn't a bully anymore, he was a bad person back then, he's here to be a hero blah blah and then a week later he's coming across like a heel again. Do they not understand that people want him to be a face?

Got back from Liverpool yesterday. RAW had a decent crowd but disappointing matches, Smackdown the opposite. Good contender for Match of the Year: intercontinental title match 3-way between Ziggler, Cesaro and Kidd. Absolutely friggin' awesome! Very weird walkout from Vince as well, btw. Granted, the crowd was a bit muted, but he walked out just after Jericho had actually shaken the crowd awake quite a bit with the Highlight reel. So his litany about how quiet everyone was and that we should have more fun felt really jarring. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy to have seen the man live in the flesh, but to criticise people who have paid top money for lack of engagement, is bad form in my book.

Don't watch wrestling any more, used to love it as a kid. Anyway, thought this video of ex Burton Albion goalkeeper turned WWE wrestler, Stuart Tomlinson was a good watch...

He still is a face though, it was a self contained Raw by the looks of things. It was the whole point of Attitude era Raws. Austin would do something bad, then turn face again by the end of the episode. Everyone loves The Big Guy!

Alexa is ace, completely no selling despite looking like she was doing an Andrew WK impression.
Still catching up atm, but been a great episode so far, just seen Lucha Dragons match. I like Murphy and Blake, but they obviously need characters somewhere down the line.

Can't wait for Stuart Tomlinson vs. Tim Wiese at Wrestlemania.

fwiw Steen said he liked the look of Tomlinson
